The Rolex GMT-Master II, reference 116710LN, is a 40mm Oystersteel travel watch with a black Cerachrom ceramic bezel graduated for 24 hours. The black dial carries large luminous Chromalight markers, luminous Mercedes-style hands, the GMT-Master II signature and a date window at 3 o’clock under a cyclops lens. A fourth hand with a green triangular tip tracks a second time zone against the 24-hour bezel, and the local hour hand can be adjusted independently in one-hour steps without stopping the watch, so the watch can follow a trip across time zones. The case has a screw-down Triplock crown and is water-resistant to 100 meters. Inside is the automatic Rolex Caliber 3186, which offers approximately 48 hours of power reserve. The watch is fitted to a steel Oyster bracelet with an Oysterlock folding clasp and the Easylink comfort extension. Rolex introduced the GMT-Master in the 1950s for airline pilots, and this ceramic-bezel reference is a durable, practical sports watch for travelers and everyday wear alike. The papers are dated October 2014.
