The Breguet Tradition Seconde Retrograde, reference 7097BB/G1/9WU, is a 40mm 18k white gold watch that takes its design from Breguet’s pocket watches of the late eighteenth century. The off-center silvered dial is engraved with a guilloche pattern and has black Roman numerals, a pump-style blued hand set and the Breguet signature and secret signature. A retrograde seconds scale arcs across the upper left of the dial, with a blued hand that sweeps from 0 to 60 and then snaps back to the start. Around the dial, the movement is left open, so that the gear train, the bridges with their screws and ruby jewels, and the balance wheel are all visible under a sapphire crystal. The case has a fluted middle band and tall, straight lugs that are soldered to the case in the traditional manner, and it is fitted to a green alligator strap.
