Produced in the 1970s, this vintage Golden Ellipse “Grand Ellipse” ref. 3589 is a statement piece in full 18K yellow gold. The 33mm x 36mm case follows the Golden Ratio: elongated, exact, deliberate. Vendôme lugs sit beneath the case and remain invisible from the front. This example is fitted with a custom aftermarket yellow gold bracelet in a three-link design: wide brushed center links framed by narrow polished sides. The dial, once blue, has transitioned over decades to a deep purple tone. Collectors value such patina when it develops evenly and with character, rendering the watch truly unique.
Powering this time-only piece is the ultra-thin self-winding Calibre 28-255, with 36 jewels and approximately 40 hours of power reserve.
