Description

Launched in 2021, the Patek Philippe Aquanaut Chronograph 5968G-001 was (along with the khaki green version) the first white gold offering of this reference. This marked a notable shift for the Aquanaut Chronograph, introducing precious metal to the sporty, travel-ready lineup.

The 42.2mm case in 18k white gold features the collection’s signature rounded octagonal bezel, while the gradient blue dial, embossed with the customary Aquanaut pattern, darkens to black toward the edges. 

Powering the watch is the self-winding Caliber CH 28-520 C, which combines a column wheel with a vertical clutch for smooth chronograph engagement. The flyback chronograph includes a central chronograph hand and a 60-minute counter at 6 o’clock in a silhouette that mimics the case. There’s also a date window at 3 o’clock. The movement beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and offers a power reserve of 45 to 55 hours, viewable through the sapphire caseback.

Completing the look is a blue Patek Philippe Tropical composite strap, textured to match the dial and secured by a white gold Aquanaut fold-over clasp. This unworn Patek Philippe Aquanaut Chronograph 5968G-001 comes complete with the manufacturer’s box and papers.
