This oversized Beta 21 ref.3587 is the first quartz model Patek Philippe produced in the 70s. This particular watch has a 43mm-wide cushion-shaped two-piece case crafted in 18K yellow gold. It stands out with its attractive blued gold dial with a two-tone finish where the matte outer edge bears the green seconds marker and the sunburst blue main dial has lumed gold-toned hour markers and hands. The date window is at 3 o’clock. Underneath the snap-back caseback is the Beta 21 electronic movement with a quartz crystal. The watch comes with a thick yellow-gold bracelet with a unique holed design, made by Pforzheim in Germany for Patek. It is estimated that there are less than 200 Beta 21 ref.3587 models ever made.
