The Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Ref.310.30.42.50.01.001 has been thoughtfully updated from every angle, yet the changes are subtle and refined, ensuring that its iconic character has been preserved. The steel case still measures 42mm wide but is now thinner at 13.6mm. A Hesalite crystal protects the black dial of this Speedmaster model. Its steel bezel has a black anodized aluminum insert showcasing a sharper tachymeter scale and the original “dot over 90” seen on the vintage Speedmaster ST 105.012. The case back features a double-step design embossed with a seahorse logo and the texts “FLIGHT-QUALIFIED BY NASA IN 1965 FOR ALL MANNED SPACE MISSIONS” and “THE FIRST WATCH WORN ON THE MOON.” The dial is designed with a matte black, slightly grained finish with a tri-counter layout. For enhanced comfort, this model is fitted with a thinner, lighter, and more flexible five-link steel bracelet.
Inside the watch beats the new caliber 3861, a Co-Axial Master Chronometer movement with 26 jewels and 50 hours of power reserve.
