As part of the second-generation launch, this 45.5mm reference shows how Omega transformed its rugged, utilitarian tool watch into a high-end luxury piece. The in-house twin-barrel Caliber 8500 brought a new level of mechanical sophistication, and the sapphire exhibition caseback put its arabesque Côtes de Genève finishing on display. A black ceramic bezel completed the shift, adding greater scratch resistance and a more refined finish than the aluminum inserts of the first generation. A screw-in crown, helium escape valve, 600 meters of water resistance, and a stainless steel bracelet complete one of the references that helped establish the modern Planet Ocean.
