The Rolex Submariner Date, reference 126613LB, is a 41mm dive watch in Oystersteel and 18ct yellow gold, nicknamed Bluesy by collectors for its blue ceramic bezel and blue dial against the gold. The Cerachrom bezel insert turns in one direction and carries gold-colored numerals and a 60-minute scale, with a yellow gold bezel ring around it. The sunburst blue dial has luminous Chromalight markers set in gold, a Cyclops lens over the date at 3 o’clock and the Submariner designation with the 300-meter depth rating. Inside is the automatic Caliber 3235, a Rolex manufacture movement with approximately 70 hours of power reserve and certification as a Superlative Chronometer. The screw-down crown and solid caseback seal the case for diving, and the Oyster bracelet is closed by an Oysterlock safety clasp with Glidelock extension. The 126613LB replaced the earlier 40mm two-tone Submariner with a slightly larger case and thicker lugs, and it continues one of the most recognizable color combinations in the Rolex range, with gold accents that balance the diving-tool design.
