The Chronomaster Revival A386 Manufacture edition changes remarkably little from the 1969 original, and that’s precisely what makes it so compelling.
Zenith knew the A386 had already gotten the fundamentals right. The 38 mm stainless steel case, polished bezel, and pump pushers stay true to the landmark chronograph, while the dial takes its cue from a period prototype discovered in Zenith’s manufacture. Instead of the familiar grey-and-blue registers, this edition has three overlapping shades of blue that remained unseen for decades before finally making their way into production. The automatic El Primero 400 continues to beat at 36,000 vibrations per hour with a 50-hour power reserve, joined by a discreet date display at 4:30 and a dark blue leather strap.
