The Rolex Yacht-Master II, reference 116689, is a 44mm 18ct white gold regatta chronograph built for sailors who need to time the countdown to a race start. The white dial carries luminous square markers with a blue arc and a red-and-blue scale for the programmable countdown, along with a running seconds sub-dial and a red chronograph hand. The countdown can be set from ten minutes down to one and synchronized with the start signal using the Ring Command bezel, which rotates to select the function and locks in place. A sandblasted white gold bezel with engraved numerals frames the dial, and the case carries screw-down chronograph pushers and a Triplock winding crown. Inside is the automatic Rolex Caliber 4161, offering approximately 72 hours of power reserve, and the watch is water-resistant to 100 meters. It is fitted to a white gold Oyster bracelet with an Oysterlock folding clasp and Easylink extension.
