The Rolex Cosmograph Daytona, reference 126500LN, is a 40 mm Oystersteel chronograph with a white dial and black sub-dials, a look that collectors often call the Panda. The three sub-dials show the small seconds, the 30-minute counter and the 12-hour counter, and the word Daytona is printed in red on the dial. The bezel has a black Cerachrom ceramic insert with a tachymetric scale, which is used to measure average speed over a set distance. The case is water resistant to 100 meters and has a screw-down crown and two screw-down pushers. The Oyster bracelet is made of brushed and polished links and closes with the Oysterlock folding clasp, which has an Easylink extension. Inside, the self-winding caliber 4131 is a Superlative Chronometer movement with a power reserve of about 72 hours. The Daytona was first made in 1963 as a watch for racing drivers, and this generation, introduced in 2023, has a slightly refreshed case and a redesigned dial layout. The high contrast makes it easy to read at a glance.
