This Air-King’s dial was inspired by the high-contrast dashboard instruments Rolex custom-built in 2014 for the Bloodhound SSC supersonic land-speed record car. Oversized 3-6-9 numerals interrupt the printed minute track, while the yellow crown and green Rolex signature introduce color combinations rarely seen elsewhere in the brand’s lineup.
The 40mm Oystersteel case carries the same solid, everyday-ready construction associated with Rolex sports models, built around a monobloc middle case and a screw-down Twinlock crown that maintains water resistance up to 100 meters. Beneath the dial sits soft-iron magnetic shielding alongside Rolex’s automatic Caliber 3131, delivering a 48-hour power reserve.
