Description

In 2022, Patek Philippe discontinued the 5990/1A-001 only to replace it that very same year with this Nautilus Travel Time Chronograph 5990/1A-011. The two references shared many similarities, including the 40.5mm steel porthole-shaped case, rounded octagonal bezel, steel integrated bracelet, and dual time and chronograph complications. However, the main difference between the 5990/1A-011 and its predecessor was the new dial color: sunburst blue with black-gradient rim — a classic choice for a Gerald Genta-designed Patek Philippe Nautilus watch. 

Powering this timepiece is the self-winding Caliber CH 28-520 C FUS, a sophisticated movement that combines a flyback chronograph, dual time zone functionality (displaying local and home time), and a date synchronized with local time at the 12 o’clock position. A single 60-minute counter for the chronograph complication keeps the dial nice and clean. Operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), the movement provides a power reserve between 45 to 55 hours.
