A limited release of 1,000 pieces, this Laureus Sport for Good edition marks an important shift in IWC’s design philosophy. The Portofino Chronograph 39 ref. IW391408 brings the brand’s philanthropic Laureus Blue signature to a more compact case. Inside runs Caliber 79350, a highly modified 7750-base movement where the day and date wheels have been entirely removed to achieve a pristine, vertical bi-compax symmetry. The 30-minute counter is at 12, and the small seconds sub-dial is at 6. The case back is engraved with a sketch of “united hands,” symbolizing the global mission this limited run supports.
