The Maestro 2.0 Ultra-Thin occupies a very small corner of modern watchmaking. It carries one of Gérald Genta’s final case designs, an asymmetrical form inspired by Roman Baroque architecture and instantly recognizable for its curved lower section at 6 o’clock. Despite the unconventional shape, the steel case measures only 8.7mm thick and sits surprisingly flat on the wrist. This slim profile hides a remarkably intricate construction, with a tiered bezel and polished facets assembled from 35 individual components.
Equally dynamic is the emerald green dial in sunburst finish, detailed with luminous hour markers and hands, and a date window at six. The sapphire caseback reveals a twin-barrel automatic caliber with finely decorated bridges, a golden central oscillating weight, and a 50-hour power reserve. The vulcanized rubber strap in green, patterned with Clous de Paris on the outside and a GC tapisserie motif underneath, completes the watch’s distinctly independent character.
