Before Cartier’s current Fine Watchmaking collection, there was CPCP. This Rotonde ref. W1550751 belongs to the Collection Privée Cartier Paris, a series that paired Cartier’s classical designs with high-grade mechanical movements. Its 18K white gold case frames a silvered dial decorated with hand-cut guilloché, blue Breguet hands, oversized Roman numerals, twin date apertures beneath 12 o’clock, and a recessed small seconds at 6. The manually wound Caliber 9602 MC runs beneath the dial with approximately 44 hours of power reserve.
A pointed sapphire cabochon tops the winding crown, while an intricately engraved dragon stretches across the caseback, interrupted only by a small sapphire window that reveals part of the movement.
