The Breguet Classique Tourbillon ref. 3355PT/09/886 is housed in a 35mm platinum case defined by a fluted edge and polished bezel, surrounding a fully skeletonized caliber visible through sapphire. Golden bridges carry hand-engraved decoration, forming the visual framework of the watch. At six o’clock, a tourbillon rotates in steady motion within its cage. Blued steel hands indicate time on a chapter ring that floats above the mechanism. The manually wound Breguet Caliber 558 SQ1 provides a 50-hour reserve, finished across all visible surfaces with traditional hand decoration.
Every tourbillon you’ve ever seen owes its existence to Breguet, and this is one of the brand’s most fascinating modern interpretations of that invention. This watch comes from one of the most important periods in the brand’s history — the late eighties, recovering from the quartz crisis, when Breguet was rebuilding its identity under Daniel Roth, long before he became famous for the watches that carried his own name.
The reference 3355 in platinum is probably the most underrated complicated watch on the market.
