The Tudor Black Bay 58 ref. 7939A1A0RU finally brings a never-produced Tudor Submariner prototype from the 1990s into the collection, pairing a rich burgundy dial with a matching burgundy bezel that collectors had only seen in archival references. Look closer at the bezel and the typography reveals another update. The numerals use gently curved strokes that mirror the bezel’s rounded form.
Sized at 39 mm, the stainless steel case retains the Black Bay 58’s vintage-inspired proportions. Snowflake hands, applied hour markers, and a domed crystal preserve the collection’s familiar dive-watch layout. Beneath the solid caseback is Tudor’s Master Chronometer-certified Manufacture Caliber MT5400-U, tested by METAS for chronometric precision, magnetic resistance, water resistance, and a power reserve of approximately 65 hours. A screw-down crown and 200-meter water resistance complete one of the Black Bay 58’s most anticipated releases.
