The Rolex Day-Date 36 reference 18048 is offered as a full set with its original box and papers. The 36 mm 18k yellow gold case houses the automatic calibre 3055, a chronometer-certified movement with quickset date. Its burgundy Stella dial is finished in glossy lacquer and set with ten baguette-cut diamond hour markers, with gold baton hands and the day spelled out in full at 12 o’clock beneath a sapphire crystal. A bezel set with round brilliant-cut diamonds frames the dial, and the Oyster case is fitted with a solid screw-down caseback and Twinlock crown. It is worn on the 18k yellow gold President bracelet with concealed crown clasp, and the set includes the original booklets and leather card holder. Stella dials, named after the lacquer used to make them, were produced in small numbers in vivid colors and are among the most sought-after Day-Date variants. This example dates to 1985.
