Here is OMEGA’s third Snoopy-related timepiece in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 13 mission. The watch is based on the Professional model and bears a 42mm stainless steel case plus the tri-compax layout on a solid silver dial. It also has a thin and angle steel bezel with a blue ceramic insert and a white scale. The matte-finished dial has a laser-ablated surface revealing the blue sub-dials and the Snoopy patch at 9 o’clock. The applied indexes and central hands are PVD-coated in blue while the hands for the chronograph sub-counters are silvery-white. Flipping the watch will reveal an interesting detail, on the caseback. It has two mechanical animations – one is running constantly and the other is visible only when the chrono function is engaged. The watch is equipped with caliber 3861 hand-wound movement with 26 jewels and 50 hours of power reserve. A blue nylon fabric strap with silver stitching completes the silver-and-blue theme of this timepiece.
