A Daytona shaped by use. In this Rolex ref. 116520, material and function are aligned from the outset. The steel bezel carries the tachymeter scale with a no-frills approach, while the black dial is laid out for quick reading, much like an instrument panel built for speed.
As a Z-serial, this example dates to around 2006–2007, within the first production years of the in-house caliber 4130, marking the shift away from Zenith-based Daytonas. Power reserve is 72 hours.
