The Ressence Type 1 Slim Limited Edition for Hodinkee watch looks unconventional yet it doesn’t stray too far from the norm. Its grey dial features an orbital display powered by ROCS1.3 automatic movement which has a planetary gear train system. The dial features nested discs that move so the face of the watch has a look that varies at different moments of the day. There is a disc for the hours, seconds, and day of the week while the minute track is on the dial’s outer edge. The discs are made of solid German silver, finished in a sandblasted and skeletonized manner. To ensure legibility in the dark, the markers and hands feature a dark grey Super-LumiNova that glows bright green. The ROCS movement that powers this watch has 40 jewels, 27 gears, two ball bearings, and a 36-hour power reserve. This 42mm stainless steel watch has no protruding winding crown but has a movable rim on the caseback for winding and setting the watch. This timepiece is supplied with a grey textile strap.
