The IWC Portugieser Yacht Club Chronograph reference IW390209 is a 45.4 mm 18k red gold sports chronograph powered by the in-house Calibre 89361, a self-winding flyback movement with a 68-hour power reserve at 28,800 vibrations per hour. Its slate grey dial pairs applied gold Arabic numerals and leaf-shaped hands with contrasting black sub-dials, the upper one combining hours and minutes so elapsed time can be read like a regular clock. Small seconds sit at 6 o’clock, a date window at 3, and a bright red central chronograph seconds hand adds a nautical accent. The polished case has a screw-down crown and 60 meters of water resistance, while a sapphire caseback reveals the movement and its engraved Probus Scafusia rotor. The watch is fitted to a black rubber strap with a red gold IWC folding clasp. Presented in 2010, the Yacht Club revived a name IWC first used in 1967 for a sporty, water-resistant line, and brought sailing-inspired durability to the classic Portugieser design.
