From Grand Seiko’s Elegance Collection comes this U.S.-only limited edition Ryūsendō ref.SBGK015, a dressy manual-winding timepiece with an exquisitely finished dial. Its case measures 39mm in diameter and is fashioned from Zaratsu-polished stainless steel. A dual-curve sapphire crystal protects the vivid blue dial, which is inspired by the blue waters of the lakes in the Ryūsendō Cave in the Iwate prefecture in Japan. The dial features a spiraled, woven guilloche pattern and hosts faceted index hour markers and beveled, hand-bent hands. The small seconds sub-dial is at 9 o’clock position, while at 3 o’clock is the power reserve indicator. The watch is driven by the compact caliber 9S63, a hand-wound movement that beats at 4Hz and stores approximately 72 hours of power reserve.
