Introduced in 2011, this Santos-Dumont Skeleton is a modern reinterpretation of the 1904 Santos-Dumont pilot’s watch created by Louis Cartier for his friend Alberto Santos-Dumont, a Brazilian aviator. This skeletonized Santos-Dumont is crafted in 18K white gold and it has no bezel with screws. The 38.7 x 47.4 mm case houses the 20-jewel caliber 9611 MC hand-wound movement with 138 parts and 72 hours of power reserve. The open-worked dial showcases Roman numerals formed by the bridges and sword-shaped hands in blued steel. This always-elegant watch is supplied with a black alligator leather strap with a white gold folding buckle.
