Description
A tribute to Galileo Galilei, this ‘Lo Scienziato’ (or ‘the Scientist’ in Italian) PAM350 was released in 2010 in honor of the 400th anniversary of Galileo’s first celestial observations. It features a 48mm case made of Ceramica or a zirconium oxide ceramic that is exceptionally hard and corrosion-resistant. This material with a hardness five times greater than steel has been processed into a single block and sculpted into a Radiomir case. The watch is powered by Panerai’s in-house P.2005/S hand-wound tourbillon movement with a 6-day power reserve. The highlight of this watch is its Gyroscopic Tourbillon positioned between 10 and 11:00. The AM/PM Indicator is at 9 o’clock along with the GMT dial. You can view the movement from the see-through titanium caseback. This timepiece was produced in a limited edition series of only 150 pieces.
