You don’t really just look at this watch. You watch it move. In this Fleurs de Jardin piece, gem-set flowers rotate across the dial in constant motion. A central axis, marked by a Jacob-cut Tsavorite gem, supports three rotating arms with the “Astronomia Solar” signature.. One carries a flying tourbillon completing a ten-minute rotation, while another holds a mother-of-pearl time display stabilized by a differential system so it remains upright as the mechanism turns.

Beneath the main display, sapphire-set flowers spin in across multiple levels, adding continuous movement across the lower dial architecture. Its 43mm rose gold case features a dual-tier diamond-set bezel, utilizing a solid cylinder of sapphire crystal for the mid-case for an unobstructed lateral view of the highly mechanical composition driven by the manual-winding caliber JCAM31. The movement is wound via keys on the caseback and offers a 48-hour power reserve. This particular piece is numbered as one of only eighteen examples produced.

When you look at this thing, it is literally a flower garden on your wrist. A lot of people will look at it and immediately see diamonds and gemstones, but there’s a lot more watchmaking going on here than most people realize. Instead of taking a men’s watch and simply making it smaller and adding gemstones, Jacob set out to create a true high complication designed around a completely different theme.

It’s one of those rare examples where artistic design and the actual watchmaking work together to tell the same story.

At the centre is the in-house JCAM 31 movement, roughly 450 components. The entire upper structure rotates around the dial once every ten minutes. The flowers rotate in one direction while the lower garden rotates in the opposite direction, and the time display stays perfectly upright thanks to a differential. Floating above it all is the flying tourbillon shaped like a butterfly, pollinating the flowers as it moves. Limited to 18 pieces, this is the rarest garden Jacob has made to date.
