Hand-wound and time-only, the compact Grand Seiko ref. SBGW289 leans into a more contemplative side of Grand Seiko, where detail unfolds gradually. Its 36.5mm steel case is closely aligned with the proportions of the 1967 original. Close inspection reveals broad facets, crisp edges, and distortion-free planes. Its dial carries a soft silver-pink tone, inspired by cherry blossoms under late snow. A fine texture runs across the surface, adding a dynamic quality to the face.
The manual-wind 9S64 caliber at its core provides a 72-hour power reserve.
