A watch with the perfect blend of visual style and technical sophistication. This F.P. Journe Tourbillon Remontoir d’Égalité clearly has charm and character. It has a platinum case measuring 38mm in diameter and a white gold dial with a beautiful pale champagne hue and a very fine-grained texture. Screwed with three screws onto the dial is a time sub-dial with Arabic numeral hour and minute markers. At 6 o’clock is the remontoir aperture while at 9 is the tourbillon. At 10 o’clock is the power reserve indicator in fan form. Adding further appeal to the watch is a crown in rope edge motif. Visible from the sapphire case back is the manually wound caliber 1498 with approximately 42 hours of power reserve. This model was in production for just five years, from 1999 to 2004.
