Description
Part of F.P.Journe’s first ladies collection is this electro-mechanical Élégante 40 that’s capable of allowing time to be stopped and started again. Positioned at 4:30 is a mechanical motion detector that switches to standby mode after being motionless for 35 minutes in order to save energy. The microprocessor continues to keep time even during standby mode so that when the watch detects movement, the hands automatically set themselves to the current time. The 18-jewel caliber 1210 that powers this watch is housed inside the trademarked flat Tortue case measuring 40mm. The watch comes with a luminescent sapphire dial center with screwed steel elements on the outer perimeter. Also on the dial is a small seconds subdial at 6, Arabic numeral hour markers, and blued steel hands. For a truly elegant finish, the case comes embellished with two rows of brilliant-cut diamonds.
