A lovely mid-2000s timepiece from the Collection Privée Cartier Paris series. The Tortue XL 8-Day has a high polished white gold case measuring 38mm from 9 to 3 o’clock. It has a faceted crown topped with a faceted sapphire, a cambered sapphire crystal, and a silver dial with an off-white color tone. The dial displays a railroad track for minutes, Roman numeral hour markers in transferred lacquer, blued hands, a sunken sub-register for seconds, a double date display, and a power reserve indicator. The exhibition caseback displays the cal.9910 MC, a 25-jewel manual-winding movement finished with the Cartier motif.
