The Rolex Deepsea Sea-Dweller James Cameron Watch, reference number 116660, honors James Cameron’s historic solo dive.
It features a 44mm Oystersteel case, an Oystersteel bracelet, and a unidirectional rotatable 60-minute graduated bezel with a black Cerachrom insert. The most notable feature of this timepiece is the iconic two-color gradient “D-Blue” dial, which transitions from brilliant blue to bottomless black. It provides the perfect backdrop for features like luminous silver toned hands, luminous index markers, and a date dial located at the 3-o-clock position – all meant to remain highly legible to the wearer even on the deepest ocean dives. It’s powered by an automatic Calibre 3235 movement with approximately 70 hours of power reserve time. It’s also waterproof to 3,900 meters and includes a helium escape valve for diving.
