A vintage gem to add to your watch box. This Day-Date 36 ref.18038 has a champagne dial with the “Khanjar,” the royal crest of the Omani state. The curved dagger on a belt crossed by a pair of swords is the national symbol of Oman introduced by Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said in 1970. The Sultan, a watch collector and appreciator, commissioned Khanjar-signed timepieces and offered them as gifts. This particular Day-Date has a red Khanjar symbol stamped on its champagne dial. The watch has the typical 18K yellow gold case with a fluted bezel and a yellow gold President bracelet. This ref.18038 is powered by the caliber 3055 automatic movement with a frequency rate of 28,800vph and a quickset date functionality.
