Description
The Sax-O-Mat plays a key role in the modern history of A. Lange & Söhne. Introduced in the late 1990s and produced for a limited run of roughly seven years, the ref. Sax-O-Mat ref. 351.027 was the brand’s first automatic watch. It also introduced the patented zero-reset seconds system, allowing the seconds hand to return to zero when setting the time. The in-house Caliber L921.2 is visible from the transparent caseback, revealing German silver bridges with Glashütte ribbing, blued screws, and a three-quarter micro-rotor in 21K gold with an outer edge weighted in platinum.
Housed in its compact 37mm white gold case is a clean and balanced black dial with applied stick markers, lumed hands, and a seconds register. A white gold bracelet matches the case in finish and weight, giving the watch an elegant and cohesive feel on the wrist.
