A Look At All The 2026 Gerald Genta Watch Releases

The 2026 Gerald Genta watch releases have focused entirely on expanding the young Geneva collection, which made its debut last year with the Gerald Genta Minute Repeater. Early in the year, the brand introduced the first time-only interpretation of its distinctive cushion-shaped case with the Geneva Time Only Marrone and Grafite, followed later by a new golden obsidian version of the Minute Repeater. Here are all the 2026 Gerald Genta watch releases so far, complete with prices, specs, release dates, and details.

Gerald Genta Geneva Minute Repeater Golden Obsidian

Release Date: September 2026

For Geneva Watch Days 2026, Gerald Genta returned to the Minute Repeater that introduced this distinctive cushion-shaped case last year, giving it a new look with a golden obsidian dial. The Geneva Minute Repeater Golden Obsidian ref. EBFE02A1 retains the 3N yellow gold case of the original black onyx version, but the new stone dial gives the watch a considerably warmer appearance.

The 3N yellow gold case measures 40mm across and just 9.6mm thick, impressive proportions considering the minute repeater mechanism inside. Yellow gold isn’t purely an aesthetic choice, either. Gerald Genta says its acoustic properties help the chime resonate with greater warmth and purity, while the case itself was specifically engineered around sound transmission. At its thinnest point, the case measures just 0.6mm, while the bezel and caseback are hollowed internally and even the sapphire crystal has been reduced to 0.8mm thick to help the sound travel more freely.

The biggest visual change is the golden obsidian dial. Formed through the rapid cooling of volcanic lava, the stone has a dark surface with naturally occurring golden and brown tones, with the individual variations in the material ensuring that no two dials are exactly alike. Yellow gold hands and indices complement the stone, while the contrasting white minute track uses the same circular-inner/cushion-outer construction we saw on the Geneva Time Only models earlier this year. There’s also a golden obsidian cabochon set into the crown, echoing the dial, while a brown calfskin strap replaces the black strap of the original.

I can appreciate what Gerald Genta is doing here by introducing another stone dial and giving the watch an entirely warmer color palette, but personally, I still prefer the look of the original Minute Repeater. The combination of black onyx, yellow gold, and a black strap felt sleeker and more restrained, whereas the golden obsidian dial, brown strap, and contrasting minute track make this one look a little busy to my eye.

Inside is the same manually wound Caliber GG-002, developed entirely in-house at La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton by master watchmakers Enrico Barbasini and Michel Navas. The 316-component, 32-jewel movement runs at 3 Hz and offers an impressive 80-hour power reserve. Each gong is individually cut and then tuned by hand and ear, with black-polished hammers striking traditional single-revolution gongs. Finishing includes Côtes de Genève, hand-beveled angles, circular graining, and polished gold masselottes on the balance wheel, all visible through the open caseback.

Pricing for the 2026 Gerald Genta Geneva Minute Repeater EBFE02A1 is available upon request, but considering the previous Minute Repeater was priced at CHF 320,000, we can probably expect the Golden Obsidian to land somewhere in that neighborhood, if not higher.

Geneva Time Only Marrone and Grafite

Release Date: January 2026

Gerald Genta kicked off 2026 by expanding its Geneva collection with two new time-only watches, offering a considerably simpler alternative to the Geneva Minute Repeater that launched the collection. Designed by Matthieu Hegi, Artistic Director of La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton, the new Geneva Time Only retains the collection’s distinctive cushion-shaped case but shrinks it to a very wearable 38mm, with a slim 8.15mm profile and newly redesigned single lugs.

I’m particularly happy to see Gerald Genta bring this case shape to a time-only watch. When the Gerald Genta Minute Repeater debuted last year, I remember thinking that the beautiful cushion-shaped silhouette was simply too good to reserve for a CHF 320,000 complication that was limited to only 10 pieces. I hoped we’d eventually see it used for a more accessible model, and here it is. At CHF 25,000, the Geneva Time Only is hardly inexpensive, but it brings this distinctive design within reach of a much broader audience.

The two versions take decidedly different approaches to color. The Marrone ref. ECFD01A1 pairs a 4N rose gold case with a warm, grained brass dial featuring a smoked gradient effect, along with matching rose gold hands and indices. The Grafite ref. ECFF01A1 switches to a white gold case and a cooler silver-toned grained brass dial, but retains the contrasting 4N rose gold hands and indices. Both dials feature the collection’s unusual two-part minute track, with a cushion-shaped outer section surrounding a circular inner section. The Marrone is paired with a brown calfskin leather strap, whereas the Grafite comes on gray calfskin.

Inside both watches is the automatic Caliber GG-005P, based on the Zenith Elite and fitted with a redesigned oscillating mass. Visible through the open caseback, the movement measures 3.88mm thick, contains 158 components and 27 jewels, runs at 4 Hz, and provides a 50-hour power reserve.

More Gerald Genta Watches in 2026?

Gerald Genta is still a relatively young brand in its current form. Revived in 2023 under the supervision of master watchmakers Michel Navas and Enrico Barbasini of La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton, the Maison has been gradually rebuilding its identity around the shapes, complications, and unconventional design language associated with its founder. Rather than rushing to fill out its catalog, Gerald Genta has taken a deliberately measured approach, introducing only a small number of watches each year.

Given that pace, we don’t necessarily expect many more Gerald Genta releases before the end of 2026, if any. The brand appears firmly focused on quality over quantity, slowly building out its collections rather than trying to maintain a constant stream of novelties. If anything else does arrive before the year is out, we’ll add it to this guide.
