The Cartier Roadster Returns
Cartier is bringing back the Roadster after several years out of the regular production lineup. The watch, released back in 2002, had a very distinctive aesthetic inspired by mid-century automobiles. The case was tonneau-shaped, like a car’s body, with a headlight-shaped Cyclops (or windshield-shaped, depending on who you ask) and thoughtfully placed screws on the lugs. The dial, with its speedometer-esque aesthetics, really drives home the look Cartier was going for with this collection back then.

Well, now the watch is officially back, presented at Watches & Wonders in two sizes (medium and large) and three metal finishes. In total, collectors will have seven different Roadsters to choose from at the initial re-launch.
So, what’s new? This generation is sharper, more ergonomic, and yet still very much a Roadster. The case, crown, and crystal (now with a metal cabochon over the date) have been reworked, and the bracelet now has shorter links. Furthermore, there are four new rivets on the bezel. Textures on the dial are achieved via stamped appliqué, and varnish is added to the Roman numerals.

Cartier Roadster Medium Model
The medium model measures 42.5 x 34.9 mm and 9.7mm thick and will come in full gold, full steel, or two-tone pairing gold with steel. All three options have white dials, with the steel model featuring blue varnished Roman numerals. The watch is powered by Cartier’s caliber 1899 MC, a self-winding engine released in 2019. All three options come with metal bracelets to match their respective cases and a second semi-matte alligator leather strap. The full gold and two-tone models have a grey leather strap, and the steel model has a navy leather strap to complement the blue hour markers. Swapping between the two is easy via the QuickSwitch system.

Leather straps also come in the same metal pairings: gold/grey, two-tone/grey, and steel/navy blue. The difference here is the additional steel model with a dark blue PVD dial. That option comes with two straps, a steel bracelet to match the case, and a second navy blue rubber strap. Large models are powered by the self-winding Cartier 1847 MC.

Cartier Santos
A new edition of the Santos-Dumont is joining the Maison’s lineup for 2026 as well. It has all the usual Santos design codes: a square-shaped case with screws along the bezel, a Roman numeral dial, and a beaded crown, decorated with a blue cabochon on the gold models and a ruby cabochon on the platinum Santos-Dumont.

The news here is the brand-new bracelet. The “silky smooth,” multi-link bracelet was inspired by the first made-to-measure bracelets Cartier produced in the 1920s. Now, the brand is revisiting that era with a flexible mesh bracelet made of 15-link rows, totaling 394 links, and each just 1.15mm thick.

The other news here is the option for a black obsidian dial with the gold model. It’s genuine volcanic stone from Mexico, measuring just 0.3mm thick. As you can imagine, it’s incredibly delicate and requires immense skill from Cartier’s watchmakers to cut, polish, and set it into the watch. The other two models in the trio have classic silvered sunray dials with black Roman numerals and blued steel hands. This new trio is powered by Cartier’s extra-thin caliber 430 MC hand-wound movement.

Cartier Tortue
Cartier brought back the Tortue in 2024 as part of its celebrated Privé collection. Now, a new series of regular production watches and a special duo of limited-edition Métiers d’Art watches have joined the collection. The new-for-2026 Tortue has been redesigned to feature the same turtle-inspired case shape, now with softer, rounded lines.

Also, the previous guilloche dials have been replaced by a newer, embossed texture, and the “chemin de fer” railroad minute track is now represented by a line of tiny dots. The collection will feature 5 different watches in small and mini sizes, each with a quartz movement. It will also include a medium-model platinum and diamond watch and two Panthère Métiers d’Art watches with Champlevé enamel and gem-set dials.
The releases sparkle with diamonds, except for the yellow gold model, which keeps it simple in plain gold. It features a faceted crown set with a blue cabochon and a black patent leather strap. The dial is champagne-colored to match the yellow gold case.

The white gold and rose gold models feature white dials and pavé-diamond bezels. It’s interesting to note that for the stones, the brand chose a cut-down setting to reduce the amount of gold on the sides. Both finishes have crowns set with inverted diamonds. The rose gold model is also available as a medium model with the calibre 430 MC mechanical hand-wound movement.

Cartier also added an “ultra precious evening” large model platinum watch to the series. The bezel is adorned with 46 baguette-cut diamonds, with 32 more diamonds on the white gold ardillon buckle and an inverted diamond on the crown. In total, it has ~3.41 carats worth of diamonds. The guilloche dial is decorated with rhodium-plated applied Roman numerals and matching rhodium-plated apple-shaped hands. Lastly, it’s powered by the caliber 430 MC hand-wound movement.

Cartier Tortue – Panthère Métiers d’Art Tortue Watch
The Tortue Panthère Métiers d’Art watches are just that, gorgeous works of art showcasing the brand’s long-standing emblem: the panther. Cartier released two limited-edition models, one in white gold and the other in yellow gold, each limited to 100 numbered watches. The white gold model has a panther motif with emerald eyes and an inverted emerald on the crown. On the yellow gold model, the panther has tsavorite eyes. The motif is covered in a curtain of masterfully applied champlevé enamel raindrops.

Cartier Baignoire Bangle Clou de Paris
Cartier has given its curvy Baignoire Bangle, released back in 2023, the Clou de Paris treatment. At its release, it will feature two yellow gold variations, one with diamonds and the other without. On the former, a blanket of 100 snow-set diamonds adorns the dial, with inverted brilliant-cut stones perfectly dotted around the bezel and down the bangle bracelet. The non-diamond model features a Clou de Paris dial for a perfectly cohesive look throughout.

Cartier has been adorning its watches with Clou de Paris design elements for a century, and now it’s part of one of the brand’s newest Baignoire sub-collection. It takes a masterful eye to adjust the proportions of the hobnail motif to the curves of the bracelet and case, but Cartier has done just that. They’ve even considered the push-buttons on the clasp, which blend in seamlessly with the rest of the motif.

2026 Cartier Privé
Cartier has released several annual Privé collections since 2015, including variations of the Tank Cintrée, Asymétrique, Crash, and Chinoise, among others. To mark 10 years of the series, Cartier is focusing on three of its most renowned models: Tortue Chronographe Monopoussoir, Tank Normale, and Crash. Each will be furnished in platinum and red, with red leather straps, crowns adorned with ruby cabochons, and red elements on the dial.

Cartier Privé Tortue Chronographe Monopoussoir
Monopoussoir translates to “mono-pusher” or “single-pusher,” the perfect moniker for this model. As you can see, there’s a bi-compax dial and just the crown on the right side of the case, no other side pushers like a traditional chronograph. The buttons for starting, stopping, and resetting the chronograph function are built into the crown, and it’s all powered by the single-button chronograph caliber 1928 MC, designed specifically to fit the shape of this case. This 2026 Cartier Privé was inspired by a watch in the 1998 Collection Privée Cartier Paris. It has a round railroad track flanked at each corner by triangular motifs and tiny beaded hour markers.

Cartier Privé Tank Normale
The Tank Normale was the watch featured in Cartier’s 2023 Privé collection, and it takes on a new form here in the 2026 Les Opus with a similar 7-row bracelet, classic Tank design codes, and an almost all-brushed finish, save for the polished bits on the sides of the famous Tank brancards and the rim of the case. For this series, the watch and case are made of platinum, with a hand-wound movement hard at work inside the case. The silvered opaline dial still has the blued steel, sword-shaped hands, but the rest of the details are in rich burgundy.

Cartier Privé Crash Squelette
Lastly, the Crash Squelette (French for skeleton) takes the same iconic asymmetrical silhouette that first debuted in the late 1960s and pairs it with a skeleton dial and the Cartier caliber 1967 MC. The components of the movement lean toward the right side of the case, as if the offset crown were dragging them down. Hammered Roman numeral-shaped bridges cleverly serve as the hour markers. Like other Crash watches, this one is incredibly exclusive. It will be made in just 150 numbered watches.

Cartier Privé – La Collection
To commemorate the 10th Cartier Privé, Cartier is releasing the new Cartier Privé – La Collection. With this series, the brand aims to showcase some of its most influential models with a single, unified aesthetic. The series will debut with the Tank Normale, Tank Cintrée, and Cloche de Cartier. Each is furnished in yellow gold and presented on a dark grey leather strap. Furthermore, the case backs are engraved with artistic representations of each watch’s case shape.

Cartier Myst de Cartier
It wouldn’t be a proper Cartier Watches & Wonders release without a stunning jewelry watch. The new Myst de Cartier is just that, featuring sculptural lines, bold patterns, and reliable movements, all elements inspired by watches made during the leadership of creative director Jeanne Toussaint in the 1930s. The brand likens the watches to a trompe-l’œil bracelet, which historically features designs meant to resemble something else on the wrist, such as a belt, or in this case, a bracelet disguised as a watch. Interestingly, there isn’t a clasp, just a bangle-type bracelet with different bead-shaped sections threaded onto a flexible base bracelet.

The gold model features a square pavé-diamond dial with an onyx frame and an inverted triangle at 12 o’clock. A domed sapphire crystal protects the watch face and mimics the watch’s fluid shape. The decorative elements include sections adorned with diamonds of varying sizes in a bead setting and hand-painted black lacquer.

Its companion, a sparkling white-gold model, is entirely encrusted with diamonds. The black onyx frame surrounding the dial on the yellow gold model is presented here in silver to support the monochromatic all-silver aesthetic.
