A Look at Marco Tedeschi Watches

Kross Manufacture, founded in 2020 by watchmaker Marco Tedeschi and his wife Stéphanie, is a Swiss watch component manufacturer so elite that they supply parts to all three of the biggest luxury watch conglomerates (LVMH, Swatch and Richemont) in addition to Audemars Piguet, Chanel, and others they’re not allowed to name. They also have their own in-house watch brand, originally known as Kross Studio, which was renamed Marco Tedeschi in 2026 to differentiate it from the manufacturing arm of the business. In this article we’ll give you a quick rundown of the Marco Tedeschi catalog, which is entirely comprised of round, crown-less, manual-wind tourbillon watches between 42mm and 45mm wide, priced between $80,000-$200,000, and almost always in titanium.

History of Marco Tedeschi Watches

In 2006, when he was a 21-year-old micromechanical engineering student, Marco Tedeschi patented a design for a central tourbillon. That, and his design for a single-axis movement (which ultimately never made it to production) helped get the attention of watch industry legend Jean-Claude Biver, which led to a successful decade-plus stint for Tedeschi at Hublot.

After becoming CEO of Romain Jerome in 2018, Tedeschi made a short-lived attempt to revive the brand as “RJ.” To be fair, the brand was probably already beyond saving, frankly. So I think it was a wise decision that he soon started his own company and brought some former RJ colleagues with him into the Kross era. In my opinion, RJ’s pebble-like 42mm-45mm titanium watches from the 2018-2020 period were a preview of the Marco Tedeschi brand we see now.

Today, Kross Manufacture is a significant supplier of high-end parts to the Swiss watch industry, but at first, being a subcontractor (parts maker) was just an idea to help survive the Covid era. As of 2026, Kross Manufacture is one of the watch brands Chanel has invested in, along with F.P. Journe and MB&F and more. But it’s worth noting that Chanel doesn’t own any of the Marco Tedeschi brand itself (which was known as Kross Studio until April 2026).

Every Marco Tedeschi (or Kross Studio) watch ever made has a round case between 42mm and 45mm wide, and they all contain tourbillons. They’re also all manually wound and set via the caseback rather than a crown, and have a power reserve of at least five days.

Essentially there are three kinds of Marco Tedeschi watches:

  • Central Tourbillon (45mm, first seen 2020)
  • Central Floating Tourbillon (42mm or 45mm, first seen 2023)
  • 7-Day Tourbillon (44mm, first seen 2025, power reserve indicator added 2026)

Marco Tedeschi achieves their impressive power reserves with a single barrel. So, naturally the mainspring needs to be very large–and it is–but the case is designed around the movement rather than vice versa. That’s a big philosophy of the brand.

To set any Kross Studio or Marco Tedeschi watch, simply press the button on the right side of the case to toggle between winding mode and time-setting mode. That changes what winding the caseback will do.

In total, Marco Tedeschi (including releases as Kross Studio) has made over 70 references. Many are unique pieces and/or involve the intellectual property of major pop-culture franchises.

17 of them are one-of-one pieces each made to pay homage to a different dragon from Game of Thrones, but my favorite is one with four quidditch players from the Harry Potter universe rotating around the dial every minute.

The brand has also done collabs with Space Jam, Transformers, Star Wars and DC Comics, as well as with watch design legend Alain Silberstein.

The Kross Studio (now Marco Tedeschi) x Alain Silberstein Black Titanium Central Tourbillon Lotus has a list price of 80,000 CHF.

Now let’s break down the brand’s offerings a bit further.

Marco Tedeschi Central Tourbillon Models (Non-Floating, 45mm diameter)

For the first few years of Kross Studio’s existence, Central Tourbillon watches were all they made. Large titanium pebble-like cases, pill-shaped hour markers and domed sapphire cases that curve smoothly into the case were all part of the design language from day one.

The Batman model above is one of only two original (non-floating) Central Tourbillon models still in the Marco Tedeschi lineup. The other is the Alain Silberstain collab, named “Lotus” for its central tourbillon design:

Central Floating Tourbillon Models (42mm or 45mm)

The first Kross Studio (now Marco Tedeschi) Central Floating Tourbillon model debuted in 2023. Central Floating Tourbillon models have tourbillons supported from below so that they appear, well, floating:

Hands of Marco Tedeschi watches are basically clipped to geared rings which gives them a cool floating effect too.

Numerous variants have been made since then, always in either 18k pink gold or grade 5 titanium. KS06 models, along with the Harry Potter model, are the only 42mm Marco Tedeschi watches. All other Central Tourbillon and Central Floating Tourbillon watches are 45mm wide.

Marco Tedeschi 7-Day Tourbillon Models (44mm)

The first Marco Tedeschi watch with a non-central tourbillon, the MT1, came in 2025 sporting regular central hands. Its flying tourbillon is located at 6 o’clock.

MT1.1 models came in 2026, adding a power reserve indicator at 12 o’clock:

The MT1.1 feels phenomenal on the wrist, in part thanks to its lack of crown. The sapphire is pleasantly domed, but not as dramatically as on the models with central tourbillons. All MT1 and MT1.1 watches are highly skeletonized. Starting prices are still astronomical by any typical standard (over $80,000) but they’re lower than those of Central Floating Tourbillon models (more like $120,000 and up).

Marco Tedeschi has publicly stated that he wants to bring at least eleven new calibers to his brand over time, including perpetual calendars and chiming watches. We’re looking forward to seeing them. When you can count brands like F.P. Journe and MB&F as (sort of) sister companies, you’re doing something right.
