Hot on the heels of their popular Black Bay Chrono Pink release, Tudor has released another colorway of their sporty chronograph: the Black Bay Chrono Blue Boutique Edition. It features a satin-brushed blue dial that goes nicely with its anodized blue aluminum bezel insert. Unfortunately for those of us who don’t live near a Tudor Boutique, it seems that (at least for now) it won’t be available at regular Tudor authorized dealers. Here are all the details of the Tudor Black Bay Chrono Blue.

First Thoughts

First of all, I’m not a fan of “boutique editions” in general. What message does that send to your authorized dealers if you regularly withhold the very best stuff from them? Maybe I’d be less bitter if I lived closer to a Tudor Boutique. There’s literally nothing new here except for the dial and bezel insert color, but still, it does look pretty sweet. It’s the same old 41mm case with the same 49.8mm lug-to-lug measurement. Some find the Black Bay Chrono’s 14.4mm case height thick, but I think it’s perfectly wearable if you have at least a medium-sized wrist.

The satin-brushed dial is done very well. If you want this watch, there’s only one bracelet configuration: a five-link steel bracelet with the popular quick-adjust T-Fit clasp.

Black Bay Chrono Blue Price and Availability

Tudor Black Bay Chrono Blue and Pink versions both retailed for $5,625 upon release. The 2025 MSRP is $6,050 (the same price as the Tudor Black Bay Chrono turquoise). The colorful models retail for a slight premium over the black and white dials that come on three-link bracelets, presumably because of their T-Fit clasps.

Although the blue version is a “Boutique Edition,” don’t expect it to be too exclusive. Tudor has a pretty advanced supply chain and they actively try to meet the demand for their watches. I do expect this watch to sell over retail at first, and then come back down–as popular Tudors generally do. Note that the boutique-only Black Bay 58 Bronze seemed to quietly begin appearing at some regular authorized dealers, so maybe the same will eventually happen with the Tudor Black Bay Chrono Blue.
