Panerai 2025 Releases: New Luminor Marina and More
Of all the watches in the Panerai catalog, the Luminor best embraces the brand’s unique design ethos. It sports that famous lever-activated crown guard to protect the case, a cushion-shaped silhouette, and a sandwich dial for maximum legibility. At Watches and Wonders 2025, Panerai announced an expansion of the collection with a new generation of Luminor Marina watches with notable across-the-board upgrades, and a new edition of the Platinumtech Luminor Perpetual Calendar GMT with a striking blue sapphire dial. We’ll show you the three other models released earlier this year, too. Read on to find out what’s new for Panerai so far in 2025.
2025 Panerai Luminor Perpetual Calendar GMT Platinumtech Ref. PAM01575
Panerai is adding a new variation of the Platinumtech Luminor Perpetual Calendar GMT to its catalog, this time with a spectacular blue sapphire crystal dial that exposes the intricate movements of the day and date wheels below. This design is eloquently described by Panerai’s CEO Jean-Marc Pontroué as providing the wearer “with a deeper connection to the art of timekeeping.” Moreover, the rich, transparent blue sapphire dial mimics the ocean’s deep blue waters, connecting the watch with its maritime roots.
Aside from the sapphire dial, the face looks like any other Luminor Perpetual Calendar watch, featuring baton and Arabic hour markers, small seconds, and windows at 3 o’clock for the day and date. The sapphire case back shows the month, year, leap year, and power reserve.
The case is made from the brand’s patented Platinumtech, a 95% pure platinum metal that is harder and more scratch-resistant than standard platinum. The case offers the wearer a very sensible depth rating of 50 meters for this watch and is paired with a dark blue alligator leather strap with a faux vintage patina and an additional blue rubber strap.
At the heart of the new ref. PAM01575 beats the caliber P.4100, a self-winding movement painstakingly developed by the brand’s renowned Laboratorio di Idee for over a decade. In an impressive display of high complication, the date will remain accurate until 2399, after which it will require a skilled watchmaker to adjust. Additionally, the day, date, month, and leap year can all be conveniently adjusted via only the crown, in either direction, and without any restrictions. The movement is home to two noteworthy Panerai patents. The first is a date shock protection system that prevents the date from shifting if the watch gets knocked around. The other is a unique GMT spring that limits wear and tear by distributing pressure across different contact points, ultimately making the GMT hand smoother and, therefore, more reliable.

New Panerai Luminor Marina Watches for 2025
Panerai introduced a new series of Luminor Marina watches at this year’s Watches & Wonders salon, four in brushed 316L stainless steel and one “Titanio” model in grade 5 titanium. In true Panerai fashion, the newest offerings don’t stray too far from the brand’s core aesthetic. They still sport the emblematic crown protective device, a 44mm cushion-shaped case, and a sandwich dial, but with a shiny new movement, increased water resistance, and brighter Super-LumiNova® X2 luminescent material. The case is also slimmer and lighter thanks to the newer movement. Let’s unpack everything that’s new with the Luminor Marina.
First, the Luminor Marina has a newer movement: caliber P.980. At 4.2mm thick, it is one of Panerai’s thinnest automatic calibers. Compare that measurement to the previous engine driving the Luminor Marina with a date, the caliber P.9010, at 6mm thick. Furthermore, the newer caliber has few components (177 compared to caliber P.9010’s 200), a 3-day power reserve, calendar aperture, and hacking seconds for precise time-setting. The P.980 also sports new finishing, which the wearer can enjoy through the sapphire case back.
With the thinner movement comes a refined case, which is now 12% thinner and 15% lighter than before. It has newer, streamlined lugs and, for the first time in the Luminor Marina collection, Panerai’s tool-free PAM Click Release System for the buckle and strap for easier strap changes. Additionally, the case is water resistant up to 500 meters, another first for the Luminor Marina collection and an exciting upgrade considering the case’s newer, more svelte profile. Lastly, all new watches are outfitted with Super-LumiNova X2, featuring 10% increased luminosity for even better low-light legibility than before.

Stainless Steel Luminor Marina Watches: PAM03323, PAM03312, PAM03313, and PAM03314
Each stainless steel model is made of premium 316LVM stainless steel and features a 44mm case. The all-steel ref. PAM03323 introduces the collection to a new V-shaped bracelet that tapers seamlessly from the case down to the clasp. It is also the first model to sport Panerai’s new tool-free Quick Length Adjustment system, allowing the wearer to extend the bracelet by 2mm on either side of the case. This feature accommodates the wrist as it fluctuates throughout the day while keeping the case perfectly balanced at the center of the wrist, all without using tools. Furthermore, the light blue sun-brushed dial here is a brand-new colorway for Panerai.
The remaining three stainless steel models (PAM03312, PAM03313, and PAM03314) keep it classic on an alligator leather strap – a second rubber strap accompanies each. Panerai’s PAM Click Release System makes swapping between the straps a breeze.
Luminor Marina Titanio Ref. PAM003325
The new capsule also includes one titanium model, furnished from grade-5 titanium and featuring a military-inspired olive-green colorway to complement the cool tones of the titanium case.
The metal finish, which the brand has used since the 1980s, is prized for being incredibly resilient yet still 44% lighter than steel. Like the stainless steel models, ref. PAM003325 has two strap options: a dark green scamosciato calf strap and a dark green rubber strap.

2025 Panerai Luminor Tre Giorni
Now let’s talk about some Panerai releases that came earlier in 2025, before Watches and Wonders. This next Panerai Luminor release is large–47mm in diameter x 15.1mm tall. It also features a boxy sapphire crystal and a hand-textured stainless steel finish, evoking the natural patina of a genuine vintage watch, perhaps one that has seen many years of underwater wartime exploration. This is a modern watch that still looks strikingly similar to the dive watches supplied to the Italian Royal Navy decades ago. The lever-activated crown locking system, leather strap (Panerai includes a black rubber strap with each purchase), and sandwich-style dial deliver the classic Luminor look so many Paneristis are searching for.
And then there’s the dial, which features the traditional baton/Arabic numeral configuration, sandwich-style structure, and vintage-inspired beige Super-LumiNova. Previously, the Panerai sandwich dial consisted of three layers: a dial with cut-outs for the hour markers, an acrylic layer for depth, and a luminescent bottom layer. For 2025, Panerai has removed the middle acrylic layer on the PAM01628. If you’ll look closely you’ll see the dial’s striking black-to-grey vignette hue instead of flat black, another nod to vintage Panerai watches. The three previous Tre Giorni models (which were all Radiomirs–PAM01334, PAM01335, and PAM01350) featured vignette dials as well.
Flipping the watch over, we have a nice view of the caliber P.3000 and its large, brushed bridges through the sapphire crystal case back. The 21-jewel movement operates at a frequency of 21,600 BPH and provides the wearer with a convenient 3-day power reserve – hence the model’s name, “Tre Giorni,” which translates to “three days” in English.
The new Panerai Luminor Tre Giorni PAM01628 retailed for $10,500 but is now out of stock on Panerai’s website.

Mike Horn Submersible QuarantaQuattro
In recent years, Panerai has been paying a lot of attention to its truest purpose-built dive watches: the Submersible lineup, featuring a rotating timing bezel. From 2002-2021, Panerai released seven Submersible (and “pre-Submersible”) references in collaboration with famous adventurer and Panerai ambassador Mike Horn (PAM00092, PAM00252, PAM00307, PAM00719, PAM00984, PAM00985, and PAM01291). The past five releases were all 47mm, but for 2025, the 8th Panerai x Mike Horn model has a more universally wearable 44mm case. Although it also has a 3-day power reserve, it isn’t part of the “Tre Giorni” lineup.
The Mike Horn Submersible QuarantaQuattro features a blue vertically brushed dial with large luminous hour markers, a ceramic unidirectional rotating bezel with a lumed pearl, and a screw-down caseback engraved with Mike Horn’s signature. A few subtle yellow accents add some visual distinctiveness to the dial. Its list price of $11,900 is higher than that of a Rolex Submariner, which may seem bold, but Mike Horn editions typically do hold their value relatively well.

Radiomir 8 Giorni Eilean
The most exotic 2025 Panerai release so far is the Radiomir 8 Giorni Eilean. The “8 Giorni” part of the name refers to its impressive 8-day power reserve, and “Eilean” is the name of a boat. Eilean is a 22-meter Bermudian ketch built in 1936, and if you buy one of the 30 Radioimir Eilean watches, that’s the boat you’ll ride on during a holiday cruise in Sicily as part of the Panerai Xperiences Program–all included in the $42,300 list price of this unusual Panerai.
The beige vignette sandwich dial of the Panerai Radiomir Eilean complements the bronze bezel and crown nicely. “Eilean 1936” is engraved on the side of the case:
While the stainless steel case may look like “patina steel” at first glance, the Radiomir Eilean actually has Panerai’s Burnito finish. That means the steel is PVD-coated and then aged via tumbling etc, wearing most of the PVD coating off. It’s an interesting effect, and no other brand does a finish quite like it.

That sums up all of the models Panerai has released in 2025. Although many watch brands used to release almost all of their new models at the preeminent annual spring Swiss watch fair, those days are over, and you never know when brands might release a new watch. Check Grey Market often for the latest watch releases.
