Omega Releases Four New James Bond Seamasters for 2026

If you’re a fan of Omega watches, you know they love making James Bond-related watches, and they also love anniversaries. Just in time for the 20th anniversary of the theatrical release of Casino Royale (the first movie where Daniel Craig played Bond), four new Seamaster Diver 300M James Bond Editions have been released. Two are steel on mesh bracelets–a blue-dial version called the “James Bond Edition” and a black one called the “Spectre Edition.” There are also two Platinum-Gold “equivalents” of those two watches with wilder dials, only sold as a pair with its steel version.

About the Omega Seamaster Diver Casino Royale 20th Anniversary

The Basics

The specs of both steel Bond-themed 2026 versions of the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M are virtually identical to those of the James Bond 60th Anniversary edition released in 2022, but with different dials, bezels and casebacks. On the steel James Bond Edition, the aluminum dial has a blue wave pattern while the bezel and bezel insert are both made of grade 5 titanium. The steel Spectre Edition has a black grainy-textured dial with a matching black ceramic bezel insert, set in a steel bezel. Both feature mesh bracelets.

The matching platinum versions both feature engraved 18K white-gold dials with PVD gradient finishing. The octopus-like pattern on the black Platinum-Gold SMP300 makes sense for the Spectre theme:

All four of these Bond SMP300’s come in a 42mm case with a (somewhat unfortunate) height over 14.2mm and a sapphire exhibition caseback. List price is $8,600 for one steel watch or $89,800 for either platinum + steel pair.

Note that Omega calls these platinum watches “Platinum-Gold” because the alloy is about 5% gold, although it’s still Pt950 (95% pure platinum) so it’s not inaccurate to just call them “platinum.” Note that even the inlays on their bezel inserts are platinum, while the rest of the insert is polished ceramic.

Final Thoughts

I like the current generation of Omega SMP300 Divers, but collectors seem mixed on the mesh bracelet. Rather than the sliding, old-school-seatbelt-like clasps found on many mesh bracelets, Omega punched holes in it and put on a deployant clasp. I think the $8,600 price point for the steel version is fair enough, but time will tell how well the two-watch sets sell at $89,800. The casebacks are pretty cool, though, even on the steel versions which lack the gold accents of their Platinum-Gold counterparts:

The original 2006 Casino Royale SMP300 had the Bond-gun-barrel motif, so it’s cool to see Omega execute it in a new upscale way on the blue platinum version:

Although some leaks hit the internet earlier, the official news of these watches came on October 5 (“James Bond Day”). And if you want to see Casino Royale on the big screen again, you’ll have to catch it soon. And we’ll let you know if any more surprise 2026 Omega releases pop up!

The point of an anniversary of a particular movie is to celebrate something related to movie. The watch(es) here have zero to do with Casino Royale in everything but model name. They are basically duplicates of Omega’s Neckton model with an abhorrent mesh strap which looks like an after market strap you’d buy after your original strap wore away. Bond wouldn’t wear anything like this either. As he’s a former naval commander, these watches would be useless as a diving tool.
