At retail, current Rolex Sky-Dweller prices range from $17,750 to $61,900. Due to strong demand, you can expect to pay significantly over list price for stainless steel versions with blue or mint green dials, but most configurations resell near their MSRP. In fact, aside from the hottest dial colors, gold models have dipped well below retail secondhand and two-tone models may soon follow. The Sky-Dweller, launched in 2012, is a brilliant take on the annual calendar function. Often, highly complicated watches are painstakingly difficult to set, but Rolex’s Ring Command Bezel allows the user to set all the functions quite intuitively. The Sky-Dweller is Rolex’s most complicated watch.

Although some people take digs at Rolex for their supposed lack of complicated watches, the bezel control technology is an impressive (and arguably underappreciated) piece of horological engineering. Plus, the fact that the current month is marked by a colored marker at the corresponding hour (6 o’clock = June and so forth) is such a clever innovation that it almost seems obvious. There’s no need to clutter the dial with additional “month” text. And considering the prices other top brands charge for annual calendars, Rolex Sky-Dweller prices are relatively reasonable.

Rolex Sky-Dweller Price Overview

Rolex’s 2023 releases included a new generation of Sky-Dwellers, and today current list prices start at $17,750 for the “white Rolesor” version (steel with a white gold bezel). Two-tone models (“yellow Rolesor”) are $23,500 on an Oyster bracelet, and solid gold models start at $50,850 on an Oysterflex bracelet (arguably the best rubber watch strap there is). A solid gold bracelet adds roughly another $10,000. Interestingly, solid gold Sky-Dwellers got the most meager 2026 Rolex price increases in the catalog, so Rolex is likely acutely of market pricing. Jubilee bracelets, which were first offered on the Sky-Dweller in 2021, sell for slightly more than Oyster versions both new and pre-owned.

If you choose to simply buy secondhand from a grey market dealer to skip the Rolex waitlist in 2026, expect to pay about $21,000 for a white Rolesor version with a black or white dial in like-new condition. Choosing a blue or mint green dial–or opting for two-tone–adds another $4,000-$6,000 or so. And aside from the six-figure off-catalog meteorite versions, used gold Sky-Dwellers basically range from about $29,000-$71,000. Let’s drill down more on those gold models now.

About Gold Model Prices

The cheapest gold Sky-Dweller option today is a pre-2017 model with Arabic or Roman numeral hour markers. Those can be found for under $35,000 on an Oyster bracelet, or even under $30,000 on leather.

Newer solid gold bracelet models (with stick markers) tend to hover around $40,000-$50,000. Oysterflex models (which replaced leather in 2017) are usually in between the bracelet and leather prices.

Relatively new colorful dials, like the green dial for the yellow gold model and the blue-green dial for the Everose gold one, can add over $20,000 to the market price because demand is so high. Even slate and chocolate dials sell for big premiums.

Most Expensive Sky-Dweller

The most expensive Sky-Dwellers of all time are the ultra-rare off-catalog diamond-covered versions released in the early 2020’s with meteorite dials. The version with an iced-out full white gold bracelet can sell for over $600,000, while the Oysterflex version is closer to $180,000.

Aside from that, currently a yellow gold Sky-Dweller on a Jubilee bracelet with a green dial can sell for over $70,000. Everose gold models with blue-green dials are only a few thousand less than that.

I should also mention that white gold Sky-Dwellers on bracelets were forever discontinued in 2018, shortly after the switch to stick dials, so if you can find a white gold Sky-Dweller with a stick dial on a bracelet (or a leather strap for that matter) it will be rare/expensive. When the white gold Sky-Dweller case option returned in 2023, it was only on Oysterflex (so it can’t be visually confused with a steel one) and with no blue dial option. So a white gold blue-dial Sky-Dweller is definitely a grail and low-key one of the rarest Rolex watches made in recent history.

At one point, people were predicting that the Rolex Sky-Dweller would be “hotter than the Daytona.” Well, that never happened, and the luxury watch market has cooled off from its 2022 heights, but the price of a Rolex Sky-Dweller hasn’t dipped too much.
