Tudor Black Bay 68 Released at Watches and Wonders 2025
If you’re a longtime Tudor fan, you might remember when the Black Bay first came out in 2012, helping re-establish Tudor as a relevant and popular watch brand for enthusiasts. Since then, numerous variations of the Black Bay have appeared in various sizes, materials and complications, often paying homage to certain eras of Tudor’s past. At Watches and Wonders 2025, the Tudor Black Bay 68 was unveiled, featuring a 43mm case and Master Chronometer certification.
The “big watch” trend probably peaked sometime around 2011, and in recent years, companies have frequently downsized their biggest models. Tudor’s Black Bay 58 (39mm) and then Black Bay 54 (37mm) were both successively smaller versions of the 41mm original. But the Tudor Black Bay 68 is going the other direction for 2025, with a 43mm case diameter previously only seen in this lineup on the Black Bay Bronze model.
Dial and Bracelet Options
The Black Bay 68 lineup doesn’t have much variation yet: You can choose a blue or silver dial. That’s it.
It comes with a black aluminum bezel insert and a three-link don’t-call-it-Oyster bracelet. The fan favorite T-Fit Clasp is standard for easy quick sizing tweaks. But the most widely appreciated update here might be the scrapping of the much-maligned faux rivets. This bracelet looks like a simple, modern Oyster bracelet.

What Does the “68” Mean?
As with the Black Bay 54 and 57, the “68” in Black Bay 68 refers to a design cue from a year in Tudor’s past. In 1968, Tudor first designed their distinctive Snowflake hands. But the Black Bay has always had Snowflake hands already, so…yeah. Here’s some more Snowflake hands.
Tudor Black Bay 68 Price and Availability
The Tudor Black Bay 68 has a list price of $4,700. Brand new Tudor releases often have waitlists, but Tudor generally tries to meet the demand for all of their models. It’s not like the Rolex waitlist. So, with few exceptions (like the Tudor Black Bay Chrono Pink and Tudor Black Bay Chrono Flamingo Blue), Tudors don’t stay too hard to get or too far above retail for long. Providing a strong value proposition is essentially what the Tudor brand is for, so that makes sense. You’ll probably be able to find used Black Bay 68’s for $4,000 before long.

All in all, the Black Bay 68 seems like a solid part of the Tudor lineup but I don’t expect it to make any huge waves. A Master Chronometer movement–guaranteed to run from +0 to +5 seconds per day–for under $5,000 is something we shouldn’t take for granted, though.
