Ever since the MoonSwatch collection burst onto the scene in March 2022, the Swatch x Omega collaboration no one saw coming has continued to churn out new cheap and cheerful versions of the lauded Speedmaster chronograph. The first year saw a collection of 11 chronographs, each piece dedicated to a “Mission” to a celestial body and all co-branded Swatch and Omega. The second year of the mega collab saw a collection of “Moonshine Gold” models, all of which included a chronograph hand that was not only styled in a particular way to honor various full moons or special occasions throughout the year but also coated in 18k Moonshine gold, Omega’s proprietary gold alloy that’s paler than traditional yellow gold. Now in the third year of MoonSwatch madness, we get what has got to be the most anticipated variant of all: the MoonSwatch Snoopy. Not only has an inexpensive version of Omega’s most collectible Speedmaster landed courtesy of Swatch but it’s also furnished with a moonphase display. Here are all the details about the brand new Swatch MoonSwatch Mission to the Moonphase watch.

The Omega x Swatch MoonSwatch Mission to the Moonphase “Snoopy”
The new model from Omega and Swatch is an all-white MoonSwatch officially dubbed Mission to the Moonphase but better known as the MoonSwatch Snoopy.
Like all the MoonSwatches that came before it, this Snoopy variant includes a 42mm Bioceramic asymmetric case, a tachymeter bezel, a chronograph complication, three recessed subdials on the dial, and two chronograph pushers flanking the winding crown. However, new to the latest version is the addition of a moonphase display, positioned at the subdial at 2 o’clock.
Look closely at the subdial and you’ll spot America’s favorite beagle (twice) lying on the duo of Moons on the disk, accompanied by his buddy Woodstock. The tips of the Moons point to the numerals on the periphery of the subdial, which indicates what day of the lunar cycle we’re currently in. And when we’re in a New Moon phase (when the Moon isn’t visible), they disappear behind the moonphase indicator mask.
When the lights go out, the mask reveals a secret message: “I can’t sleep without a night light!” That message shines bright blue in the dark thanks to UV ink, as do the pair of moons and the stars that sparkle behind it. Conversely, the Grade A Super-LumiNova-coated indexes and hands glow bright green in low light.
The back of the watch also features a touch of Snoopy in the form of his pawprint on the surface of the Moon serving as the battery cover. Additionally, the caseback includes a variety of space-themed motivational phrases: Dream Big, Fly Higher, Explore the Universe, Reach for the Planets, and my favorite, Enjoy the Mission.
The 42mm case measures 13.75mm thick and 47.30mm lug-to-lug, and it’s water-resistant to 30 meters. The case is topped with a box-shaped glass (mimicking the original Hesalite crystal of the Omega Moonwatch) made from a bio-sourced material and protected with an anti-scratch coating. There’s an “S” etched in the center of the crystal for the Swatch logo.
The all-white colorway is maintained with the accompanying Velcro strap, branded with — like the dial and crown — both the Omega and Swatch logos.
Swatch has announced that the new MoonSwatch Snoopy Moonshine to the Moonphase will be available starting March 26, 2024, at select Swatch boutiques around the globe. The watch’s retail price is $310; however, flippers will no doubt strive to get their hands on these watches and sell them for much higher prices on the secondary market. Expect crazy lines at the stores on launch day — and probably weeks (months?) after that.

The 11 Original MoonSwatch Mission Models
As you know, the MoonSwatch is Swatch’s playful take on the highly popular Speedmaster Moonwatch, featuring an almost identical design blueprint, down to the 42mm size and tachymeter bezel. In true Swatch fashion, there were 11 variations of the MoonSwatch when it debuted in 2022, ranging from the OG-inspired black “Mission to the Moon” and red and white “Mission to Mars” to the bright yellow “Mission to the Sun” and unfortunately-named turquoise “Mission to Uranus.” Unlike so many other watch brands that jumped on the colorful watch bandwagon in recent years, brightly-hued models have always been at the core of Swatch’s offerings.
However, since the MoonSwatch watches are Swatch watches inspired by an Omega model, they are made from different materials (“BioCeramic” plastic case, plastic crystal, and Velcro straps), are powered by quartz movements (instead of manual-winding Master Chronometer mechanical movements), and cost a fraction of the price. In 2024, the regular-production MoonSwatch retails for $270 whereas the least expensive Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch currently retails for $6,600.
The original 11 MoonSwatch models that were introduced in 2022 are as follows:

All The MoonSwatch Moonshine Gold Models So Far
As previously mentioned, 2023 saw the release of 11 Mission to Moonshine MoonSwatch models, all with unique chronograph hands coated in Omega’s proprietary 18k MoonShine gold. In an interesting twist (gimmick?), Swatch claimed that the chronograph hands were produced during the full moon of the previous month — and included a certificate in the packaging to prove it.
Almost all of the Moonshine models use the Mission to the Moon as a base; the only exception is the Blue Moon version which uses the blue Mission to Neptune model. All the 2023 MoonSwatch Moonshine Gold models, their release dates, and design inspirations are as follows:

Each of these models was sold for only one day at select Swatch stores around the world, and their retail prices ranged from $285 to $300.
In February 2024, Omega announced that it would auction 11 suitcases that contained all 11 of the Omega x Swatch MoonSwatch Mission to Moonshine watches. Each suitcase was dedicated to a specific city (Sydney, Beijing, Paris, Hong Kong, Milan, Tokyo, Singapore, Bangkok, London, New York, and Zurich) and Sotheby’s was in charge of the auction. 100% of the auction proceeds will be given to Orbis International, an international organization that treats avoidable blindness and vision loss.
The results of the auction smashed the pre-sale estimates of CHF 5,000 to CHF 10,000. The total of the Sotheby’s Omega Moonwatch sale was CHF 534,670 ($608,000) for the 11 suitcases.
What has the Omega x Swatch MoonSwatch Collaboration Done for the Watch Industry?
While Swatch and Omega both belong to Switzerland’s Swatch Group, they sit on opposite ends of the price/prestige spectrum. So what has the collaborative MoonSwatch done for the watch industry?
The short answer is that it made an inexpensive version of the legendary Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch accessible to a massive market via an affordable price point. It spread the news of the Speedmaster’s space history to audiences that may not have known about it and injected loads of excitement (or absolute frenzy) into the watch market. Huge lines formed at Swatch boutiques, and proud owners were showing off their new MoonSwatches everywhere on social media. These sub-$300 watches were being flipped for tons of money on the secondary market during the early days (for thousands of dollars) and it’s still common to find them being sold for above retail prices today. Similarly, the new Mission to Moonphase MoonSwatch Snoopy watch will likely command enormous premiums in the short term.
The collaboration also paved the way for another one within the Swatch Group; the Blancpain x Swatch Fifty Fathoms dive watch collection. Whether or not Swatch will team up with another one of its sister brands (maybe Breguet, Glashütte Original, or Longines) remains to be seen but I wouldn’t put it past them.
