A Look at Every 2025 Laurent Ferrier Release
Laurent Ferrier is a relatively young brand in the grand scheme of things, with only 15 years under its belt, but backed by decades of experience in the field of fine luxury watchmaking. To mark its 15th anniversary, Laurent Ferrier has released a handful of remarkable watches throughout the year, including the 7th installment of its Série Atelier, a red gold Sport Auto 79, a second edition of the Traveller Globe Night Blue, and the first non-limited Classic Auto, which features a striking icy blue “Horizon” dial. Let’s get into all the Laurent Ferrier 2025 releases.

Série Atelier VII – Classic Tourbillon Teal
For its 15th anniversary, Laurent Ferrier is revisiting its first watch, the Classic Tourbillon. It features the same movement, caliber LF619.01, spruced up with a brushed satin ruthenium finish and rhodium-plated components, the latter of which is a first for the brand. Additionally, the watch is now crafted from 950 platinum (the first Série Atelier to feature the precious metal) and features a vibrant new blue/teal enamel dial color.

Speaking of the dial, it features a teal grand feu enamel finish applied over a white gold base plate and a subtle shade of light blue in the minute track, logo, and small seconds sub-dial. The Roman numerals are in white enamel for better legibility, and the hands are in white gold. Aside from its 2025 updates, the watch remains true to the rest of the Classic Tourbillon lineup. It features a familiar 41mm round case inspired by pocket watches, along with a fluted, ball-shaped crown.

Furthermore, the spectacular double hairspring tourbillon is visible through the exhibition-style case back, rather than on the dial, a hallmark of the Classic Tourbillon collection.

For those unfamiliar, Laurent Ferrier releases a different limited-edition Série Atelier watch each year. 2024 brought us a variation of the Classic Auto with a lovely sandstone dial. With this Geneva Watch Days 2025 release, the brand is going back to its roots. If you have the budget for the Série Atelier VII Classic Tourbillon Teal, you can add one of five numbered watches to your collection for a cool CHF 195,000.

Red Gold Sport Auto 79
Back in 1979, founders Laurent Ferrier and François Servanin took third place at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It was then, in that moment, that the seed for what would one day become the Laurent Ferrier brand was planted. Laurent would go on to work for Patek Philippe for several decades afterwards, while François explored various personal ventures. By 2009, they collaborated again, this time leaving the racetrack far behind in their rearview mirror to focus on watchmaking. The new 2025 Sport Auto 79 celebrates the duo’s storied history, featuring the aerodynamic silhouette of the existing Sport Auto series but now furnished entirely in 18k red gold.

The watch, described by the brand as “exquisitely discreet,” also features a cream-colored dial with a soft, opaline finish, balancing out the warm red gold finish. Hour markers and hands are made from 18k red gold 5N to match the rest of the watch, while Super-LumiNova and powder grey are used for the remaining design elements for better legibility.
The case has a classic tonneau shape, topped with a cushion-shaped bezel and paired with a matching integrated bracelet. Lastly, the sapphire case back displays the caliber LF270.01, a self-winding movement featuring ruthenium-treated, brushed bridges and a micro rotor with tiny, 1979 Le Mans-inspired numerical laser engravings.

Classic Traveller Globe Night Blue
For the next release on our list, Laurent Ferrier called on a watch from its archives, the Galet Traveller Globe Night Blue from 2016. On that original model, the dial was engraved, with the oceans in blue enamel and the continents adorned with gold glitter. For the second edition, released in 2025, the brand showcases its miniature painting prowess by decorating the dial with opaque blue, hand-painted enamel continents, complemented by vibrant, hand-painted gold enamel that represents city lights as seen from above at night.

Laurent Ferrier achieved the 3D globe look by giving the center dial a convex shape and surrounding it with a contrasting slate grey ring. Hour markers protrude outwards and almost appear to hold the globe in place.

The dial is then expertly enameled using the champlevé technique (“raised field” in English), in which the surface is first textured before enameling.

At the center of it all, there is an incredibly intuitive dual time function, with the center hour hand representing local time. Two sleek pushers adorn the left side of the case, with the top pusher moving the hand forward, hour by hour, and the lower pusher moving it backwards. Home time is always displayed in the register at 9 o’clock, and the date takes its place at 3 o’clock. It’s all powered by the caliber LF 230.02 self-winding movement, featuring a double direct-impulse natural escapement. This unique mechanism sends direct impulses to the balance, enhancing efficiency and providing a longer power reserve.

Classic Auto Horizon
I mentioned earlier that the 2024 Série Atelier was a Classic Auto watch with a sandstone dial. For 2025, Laurent Ferrier is expanding on that model by releasing a non-limited production watch with a Horizon dial in a lacquered sky-blue color.

“Classic” refers to the round pocket watch-shaped case, while “Auto” signifies an automatic movement…both staples of a really great, go-to watch. Powering the new Classic Auto is the caliber LF270.01, first released in 2022 alongside the Sport Auto. It features a platinum micro rotor decorated with a feather motif to match the sky theme and Côtes de Genève rhodium-plated bridges.

The real showstopper here is the dial, which features dynamic finishing textures in a light blue shade as well as the brand’s signature Assegai hands and drop-shaped hour markers. The center of the dial is vertically brushed, while the outer rim has a circular brushed finish. Two staples also adorn the dial: a small seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock and the date at 3 o’clock. To achieve that rich, silvery blue shade, the dial is first given a silver galvanic coating, which is then topped with blue lacquer.
