2026 TAG Heuer Releases
The 2026 TAG Heuer watch releases begin with a clear focus on the brand’s core competency: chronograph watchmaking. Unveiled at LVMH Watch Week 2026, these first releases set the tone for TAG Heuer’s stated theme for the year, Master of Chronograph. From the introduction of a split-seconds chronograph to the return of the Seafarer tide indicator and a new 41mm glassbox Chronograph, these early releases focus on evolving the core Carrera collection.

Carrera Split-Seconds Chronograph
Release Date: January 2026

The 2026 TAG Heuer Carrera Split-Seconds Chronograph marks the first time a rattrapante complication has been introduced within the Carrera collection, representing a significant technical step for one of the brand’s most historically important lines. The watch brings split-seconds functionality into the Carrera using the collection’s modern “glassbox” architecture, paired with a high-frequency movement developed in collaboration with Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier.
Sporting a newly designed 42mm grade-5 titanium case, the watch retains the Carrera’s signature peaked lugs while introducing elongated chronograph pushers and a dedicated split-seconds pusher integrated at 9 o’clock. A domed sapphire “glassbox” crystal rises directly from the case, giving the dial a sense of depth and a distinct silhouette to the 15.17mm-thick case.

The translucent sapphire dial puts the mechanics on full display. Three sapphire subdials track elapsed minutes, elapsed hours, and running seconds, while red lacquered chronograph hands add contrast against the otherwise restrained anthracite palette. A thoughtful detail is the curved tachymeter scale, which follows the profile of the crystal to reduce parallax.
Powering the watch is the automatic Caliber TH81-01, beating at 5Hz with a power reserve of 65 hours with the chronograph disengaged (55 hours while running). Built from more than 350 components, the movement is finished entirely by hand, featuring black-polished screws, hand-beveled bridges, and TAG Heuer’s signature engraved checkered-flag motif. Visible through both the dial and sapphire caseback, the movement is designed to appear almost suspended within the case, with a shield-shaped oscillating weight finished with a subtle gradient paint along its edge.

Paired with a black rubber strap featuring textile embossing and red stitching, the Carrera Split-Seconds Chronograph is rated to 30 meters of water resistance and will be available as of June 2026. Estimated retail pricing is set at a whopping $127,000.

Carrera Seafarer
Release Date: January 2026

The 2026 TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Seafarer revisits one of the brand’s more unusual chapters, drawing inspiration from the historic Seafarer and Solunar tide watches developed for Abercrombie & Fitch in the mid-20th century. First introduced in 1949, those early models were designed to display high and low tide times at a specific location, an idea conceived by Abercrombie & Fitch president Walter Haynes and later refined with input from a young Jack Heuer.
Seventy-seven years later, that tide indication returns in a modern form, integrated into the Carrera’s contemporary glassbox chronograph silhouette. The 42mm stainless steel case features a combination of brushed and polished surfaces and is topped by a domed sapphire crystal. Beneath it sits a champagne opalin dial accented by teal and yellow details — colors drawn directly from TAG Heuer’s sailing heritage and inspired by Intrepid, the yacht that won the 1967 America’s Cup.

The tide indicator occupies the 9 o’clock position and is adjusted via a dedicated pusher engraved “TIDE.” Once set to local conditions, the disc completes a full rotation every 29.53125 days, accurately tracking high and low tides throughout the lunar cycle. Chronograph minutes and running seconds are displayed at 3 and 6 o’clock, respectively, while the curved flange carries a combined 60-second and minute scale for improved readability.
Powering the watch is the in-house automatic Caliber TH20-04, developed specifically to accommodate the tide complication. The movement features a column wheel and vertical clutch, delivers an 80-hour power reserve, and is visible through a sapphire caseback engraved with TAG Heuer’s Victory Wreath. Water resistance is rated to 100 meters.

The Carrera Chronograph Seafarer is delivered on a seven-row stainless steel bracelet inspired by vintage beads-of-rice designs, with brushed and polished links. An additional beige textile strap, echoing traditional boat rigging and lined in teal, is included. Retail pricing is set at $8,800.

Carrera Chronograph 41mm Glassbox
Release Date: January 2026

TAG Heuer expands its modern Carrera lineup with a new 41mm Chronograph that sits between the heritage-leaning 39mm models and the larger 42mm glassbox references. This is what the brand calls a more modern and legible version of Jack Heuer’s original concept. The 41mm stainless steel case retains the defining elements of the glassbox design introduced in 2023, including the domed sapphire crystal and curved dial flange that bring the tachymeter scale closer to the viewer. Measuring 47.48mm lug-to-lug and 14.17mm thick, water resistance is rated to 100 meters.

All three launch references share a clean, date-free dial layout with balanced proportions and strong contrast. The blue dial offers the most traditional Carrera look, with circular brushing and tone-on-tone azurage subdials. The teal green version introduces a richer, more contemporary color that has quickly become a TAG Heuer signature in recent years. Rounding out the trio, the black dial adds restrained red accents on the chronograph hands and outer ring, giving it a more overt motorsport character.

Inside the watches is TAG Heuer’s in-house Caliber TH20-01, an automatic chronograph movement with an 80-hour power reserve. It features a column wheel and vertical clutch for smooth chronograph operation and is visible through the sapphire caseback. Each case is subtly engraved with the Carrera Victory Wreath. What’s more, all three versions are delivered on TAG Heuer’s seven-row stainless steel bracelet, a modern interpretation of the brand’s historic beads-of-rice style. Already available for purchase, the 2026 TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph 41 is priced at $7,950.
