RM 30-01 Dark Blue Quartz TPT
Release Date: September 2025
In 2023, Richard Mille introduced the automatic RM 30-01 with a declutchable rotor, a successor to the highly popular RM030. Since then, the brand has continuously expanded the model lineup with new materials, and for 2025, we welcome yet another new RM 30-01 in dark blue Quartz TPT (the other is the 30-01 Le Mans Classic, detailed further down in this article).
Like previous versions of the RM 30-01, the watch’s mechanical highlight is the declutchable rotor (a mechanism Richard Mille introduced in 2011), which serves to automatically disengage from the winding system when the mainspring is wound to 55 hours of power reserve. Conversely, when the power reserve dips to 40 hours, the rotor re-engages. As the company explains it, “this allows both the movement and the oscillator to work with the best ratio of constant torque/power to provide the best chronometric performance.”
All of this is thanks to the diamond-shaped and skeletonized Caliber RMAR2, which, unlike the movement in the older RM030, provides a function selector at 2 o’clock that allows you to switch between hand-setting, date-setting, and winding functions via a simple press of the pusher at 2 o’clock. Also on the dial is the oversized date at 4 o’clock, the clutch engagement indicator located at 11 o’clock (ON/OFF), adjacent to the power reserve display.
The movement isn’t new here; it’s been powering the RM 30-01 watches since the model’s debut — but what is new is the use of blue Quartz TPT for the signature 42.00mm by 49.94mm by 14.15mm-thick tonneau-shaped case. This fresh iteration joins other RM 30-01 options in red gold, black ceramic, white ceramic, and titanium. No official word on pricing for the dark blue quartz TPT RM 30-01 yet, but all the other versions are priced well north of $200,000, so expect a similar cost range for this fresh 2025 Richard Mille watch.

RM 35-03 Rafael Nadal
Release Date: August 2025
Richard Mille has introduced two new color variations of the RM 35-03 Rafael Nadal Automatic for 2025, expanding the lineup with Pastel Blue Quartz TPT and Salmon Quartz TPT editions.
Powering the watch is the skeletonized Caliber RMAL2, an automatic movement crafted from grade 5 titanium and equipped with a double-barrel system, variable-inertia balance, and a 55-hour power reserve. It also features Richard Mille’s function selector, activated via the pusher at 2 o’clock, which toggles between winding, neutral, and time-setting modes.
The RM 35-03 is best known for debuting Richard Mille’s patented butterfly rotor — a system developed over three years that allows wearers to interact directly with the winding mechanism. With a push of the button at 7 o’clock, the twin titanium weights inside the rotor can be deployed to balance out the mass and stop winding, effectively putting the watch into “sport mode.” Another push brings them back together, resuming winding. A winding indicator at 6 o’clock shows whether the rotor is active (ON) or inactive (OFF)
The Quartz TPT cases of the 2025 Rafael Nadal RM 35-03 watches measure 43.15 x 49.95 x 13.15 mm and are water-resistant to 50 meters. Like all TPT cases, they are made from hundreds of ultra-thin layers of silica fibers impregnated with resin, creating the distinctive striated surface unique to each piece. Both new versions are finished with the signature tonneau case shape, sapphire crystals front and back, and Richard Mille’s titanium spline screws securing the tripartite case.
No word yet on official pricing for the latest RM 35-03 models, but previous versions retailed for $238,000 — so expect these to be priced in the same range, if not higher.

RM72-01 “Charles Leclerc”
Release Date: May 2025
Richard Mille’s latest release adds a little Monaco flair to the RM 72-01 lineup — and expands the Richard Mille Ferrari watches lineup. Made in collaboration with Ferrari F1 driver Charles Leclerc, the new edition is a red-and-white tribute to his Monégasque roots, and one of the boldest colorways yet for this compact flyback chronograph.
The Quartz TPT case is finished in bright white, offset with bold red stripes and a black crown shaped like an F1 tire. The skeletonized dial keeps the red-and-white theme going, skipping hour numerals entirely in favor of clean chronograph registers and a framed date display.
Inside is the CRMC-1 movement, Richard Mille’s first in-house flyback chronograph caliber, complete with 30-minute and 24-hour counters, a function selector, and a 50-hour power reserve. Measuring 38.4mm by 47.34mm, the RM 72-01 “Charles Leclerc” isn’t new in form, but it is fresh in execution. Deliveries have already started among top clients, and yes, Leclerc himself has already been spotted wearing his. The new-for-2025 RM72-01 Charles Leclerc watch is limited to 150 pieces and priced at $330,000.

RM 75-01 Flying Tourbillon Sapphire
Release Date: April 2025
Richard Mille is no stranger to technical excess — and the new RM 75-01 Flying Tourbillon Sapphire might be the brand’s most crystalline example yet. Introduced in three distinct variations for 2025, the new collection is entirely encased in sapphire, including the bezel, caseband, and caseback, and paired with a sculptural movement designed from the ground up specifically for a sapphire case. That’s a first for the brand.
The case measures 46.75mm by 32.9mm and 14.35mm thick, machined from solid blocks of synthetic sapphire — a process that takes over 1,000 hours of cutting, grinding, and polishing. Two of the three versions feature a colored sapphire caseback in either lilac or blue (limited to 10 pieces each), while the third has a completely clear case (limited to 15 pieces). The design pulls inspiration from gothic architecture and the ocean, a theme echoed in both the wave-like contours of the case.
Inside is the new manually wound Caliber RM75-01, complete with a flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock and a flying barrel (with no upper bridge) for maximum visual impact. The bridges and baseplate are skeletonized grade 5 titanium treated in 5N gold and gray PVD, and the watch offers a power reserve of approximately 65 hours. The balance beats at 3 Hz (21,600 vph) and is fitted with variable inertia regulation for improved accuracy over time. Richard Mille finishes the movement with traditional high horology techniques, including anglage, polishing, and concave chamfering of the wheels.
The result is a hyper-technical, highly architectural, and dramatically transparent piece. Plus, even though these are ladies’ RM watches, they are among the most expensive Richard Mille watches to hit the market. The RM 75-01 Flying Tourbillon Sapphire is priced at $2,018,000 for the clear version, $2,238,000 for the blue sapphire model, and $2,258,000 for the lilac pink — at retail!

RM 43-01 Ferrari Tourbillon Split-Seconds Chronograph
Release Date: March 2025
Following the RM UP-01 Ferrari from a few years back, the second collaboration between Richard Mille and Ferrari has arrived — and it’s a monster. The new RM 43-01 Tourbillon Split-Seconds Chronograph Ferrari is a technical powerhouse that fuses two of the most complex high complications in watchmaking with the design language of Maranello’s finest machines. Available in two versions — 75 pieces in micro-blasted grade 5 titanium with a Carbon TPT caseband and 75 pieces in full Carbon TPT — this 2025 Richard Mille release represents the ultimate union of motorsport engineering and high horology.
“We have two cases to express two distinct personalities: a ‘gentleman driver’ ethos for the titanium case, and a more high-octane attitude in the carbon version,” says Julien Boillat, Richard Mille’s casing technical director.
The new caliber RM43-01 was built from scratch over a three-year development cycle, combining an off-center tourbillon, a split-seconds chronograph, torque and power reserve indicators, and a function selector — all inside a skeletonized architecture designed with Ferrari’s Centro Stile. From the laser-engraved Prancing Horse logo inspired by the 499P’s rear wing to the multi-layered movement finishes resembling Ferrari engine blocks, the crossover details run deep.
As always, Richard Mille kept things ergonomic: the almost 43mm case (17.1mm thick, water-resistant to 50 meters, and shock-tested to withstand over 5,000 g) wraps beautifully around the wrist thanks to its signature arching tonneau shape. The result is one of the most complex and automotive-inspired watches of the year — an engineering flex by both Ferrari and Richard Mille.
You know what else is a flex? The price tags: $1,300,000 for the titanium RM43-01 and $1,535,000 for the Carbon TPT RM43-01. Whew!

RM 74-02 Automatic Tourbillon Gold Quartz TPT
Release Date: February 2025
Richard Mille continues its pursuit of high-tech materials with the latest version of the RM 74-02 Automatic Tourbillon, now available in Gold Quartz TPT. While we’ve seen the brand experiment with Gold Carbon TPT before, this new iteration introduces an entirely different combination of traditional and modern materials — integrating gold leaf into Quartz TPT for a unique shimmering effect.
Gold Quartz TPT is exclusive to Richard Mille in watchmaking and was developed in collaboration with Swiss composite specialists North Thin Ply Technology. The material is created by stacking ultra-thin sheets of quartz fiber in alternating orientations, pressing them under high heat (120°C/248°F) and pressure (6 bars), and integrating 22k 5N red gold leaves into the layers. The result? A lightweight and visually striking case with natural gold striations running through the translucent quartz. Completing the look and boosting the precious metal content is the solid 18k 5N red gold caseband sandwiched between the caseback and bezel.
Measuring 52.63mm x 34.40mm x 13.05mm, the tripartite case maintains Richard Mille’s signature tonneau shape while integrating sapphire crystals with double anti-reflective treatment for optimal visibility. The watch is water-resistant to 50 meters, with 20 grade 5 titanium spline screws securing the case construction.
Inside, is the Caliber CRMT5, an in-house, automatic skeletonized movement that powers the pair of hands at the center of the dial and tourbillon at 6 o’clock. The baseplate is made of 18k 5N red gold while the bridges are fashioned from 18k 3N yellow gold, both micro-blasted and beveled by hand. The variable-geometry rotor, crafted from 5N red gold and platinum, allows the winding efficiency to be customized to the wearer’s activity level. The fast-rotating barrel, which completes a full revolution in five hours instead of the standard 7.5, optimizes energy transmission while reducing internal friction. Together, these technical refinements ensure a power reserve of approximately 50 hours.
While the press release doesn’t specify strap and bracelet options, Richard Mille’s official imagery confirms that the RM 74-02 Automatic Tourbillon in Gold Quartz TPT can be paired with a white textured rubber strap, black smooth rubber strap, or a Cuban-link style bracelet in red gold So what’s the price for these 2025 Richard Mille releases? The RM 74-02 Automatic Tourbillon in Gold Quartz TPT on a strap will set you back $603,000 and $660,000 on the bracelet, which is extraordinarily costly for a luxury watch but nowhere near as pricey as the most expensive Richard Mille watches out there.

RM 16-02 Automatic Extraflat Introduces a Novel Colorway
Release Date: January 2025
The first rectangular Richard Mille watch debuted in 2007 as the RM 016. That was followed by the Richard Mille RM 16-01 in 2019, part of the candy-inspired Bonbon Collection. Now, as part of the 2025 Richard Mille releases, we have the RM 16-02, which according to Richard Mille “draws on the example of Brutalist architecture.”
The case of the RM 16-02 measures 36mm wide, 45.64mm long, and a mere 9.5mm thick, retaining the ergonomic curvature that Richard Mille watches are known for. It also comes in at 10% smaller than the original RM016. This three-part case — comprising a bezel, caseband, and caseback — requires intricate machining and assembly using 12 grade 5 titanium screws and abrasion-resistant washers, ensuring durability and water resistance up to 30 meters.
The RM 16-02 Automatic Extraflat comes in two distinct case options. The first is a familiar full-grade 5 titanium, featuring a mix of microblasted and satin finishes with polished bevels for added dimension. The second, and arguably the more eye-catching of the two, is the new Terracotta Quartz TPT®, a warm and striking colorway that’s a first for Richard Mille. This unique hue is achieved through an advanced process where ultra-thin silica threads (just 45 microns in diameter) are impregnated with a colored matrix, stacked at a 45° angle between layers, and subjected to high heat and pressure (120°C at 6 bars). The result is a raw composite material that’s milled into the case, sitting atop a Creamy White Quartz TPT® caseband for a striking contrast.
One notable feature of this watch is the design of the hour markers on the dial, which is quite different from its predecessors. Positioned within the skeletonized movement, these thread-like decals appear to weave through the intricate mechanics. While this approach certainly creates a dynamic visual effect, I’m not sure how this would impact legibility in the metal.
These 2025 Richard Mille releases are more than just new colorways. At the heart of the RM 16-02 Automatic Extraflat is the all-new Caliber CRMA9, a skeletonized two-hander automatic movement designed for performance and precision. Its dimensions — 26mm wide, 31.25mm long, and only 4.12mm thick — underline its extra-flat profile, perfectly suited for the sleek rectangular case.
This movement incorporates several notable features, including a free-sprung balance with variable inertia, which enhances reliability when subjected to shocks and provides superior chronometric results over time. The absence of a regulator index, replaced by four adjustable weights on the balance wheel, ensures precise calibration and consistent timekeeping.
To maximize winding efficiency, the Caliber CRMA9 utilizes a platinum rotor paired with titanium weight segments, operating through a One Way® reverser system mounted on ceramic ball bearings. The fast-rotating barrel, completing a full revolution every five hours (rather than 7.5 hours), minimizes mainspring adhesion and optimizes performance, delivering 50 hours of power reserve.
As expected from Richard Mille, the movement is exceptionally executed, featuring intricate skeletonization and finishing, including hand-polished anglage, microblasted surfaces, and hand-polished beveling.
Prices for these new-for-2025 Richard Mille RM 16-02 watches are $134,000 for the titanium version and $156,000 for the Terracotta Quartz TPT model. While these are hefty price tags by any measure, in the realm of super expensive Richard Mille watches that can go for seven-figures, these are on the more “affordable” side of things.
