Jaeger-LeCoultre 2025 Releases
Earlier this year, during Watches and Wonders Geneva 2025, Jaeger-LeCoultre released a white gold variation of the Gyrotourbillon Reverso Hybris Artistica Calibre 179 and added several new models to the Reverso Tribute collection, including a Limited Edition Reverso Tribute Minute Repeater, a fascinating Reverso Tribute Geographic model with a Worldtime function, and much more. Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control Calendar
As some may recall, JLC relaunched the Master Control in 2020, making several cosmetic changes to the lineup as well as introducing some upgraded movements. It was at that time that the brand increased the power reserve to 70 hours for some models and introduced the jumping date complication featured here on the new 2025 Master Control Calendar.
The new model is a stainless steel watch, limited to 500 pieces, and featuring a striking new grey sector dial. Powering the watch is the caliber 866, which is inspired by the 1940s Triple Calendar watches. Like its muse, the dial features two windows positioned below 12 o’clock, displaying the day of the week and the month. Directly below that is a moon phase at 6 o’clock. The dial is surrounded by a date scale with a dedicated, red JL-shaped indicator hand, which jumps from the 15th of the month to the 16th across the bottom of the dial so as not to block the moon phase.
Flipping the watch over, we can see the movement and its Côte de Genève decoration through the transparent case back. The case itself is furnished in durable steel and features the classic round Master Control silhouette, complete with a sloping bezel and a sophisticated leather strap.

2025 Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Grande Tradition Calibre 985
The calibre 985 debuted back in 2013 and could previously be found inside the discontinued Master Grande Tradition Tourbillon Cylindrique à Quantième Perpétuel. Now, for 2025, it’s back. The new collection features three distinct models: two in platinum with rich blue dials, and one in 18k pink gold with a brown dial. Of the two platinum watches, one features a smooth bezel, while the other is encrusted with 75 baguette-cut diamonds, totaling 3.4 carats. Furthermore, each dial is stepped to match the previously mentioned discontinued model. Platinum models are paired with blue leather straps, and the pink gold model has a brown leather strap.
For 2025, the case has been redesigned. The lugs are more tapered and less blocky, now featuring a softly textured finish visible when viewing the watch from the side. The dial layout is largely the same, with the tourbillon taking its place at 6 o’clock, followed clockwise by the date at 9 o’clock, the month and split year at 12 o’clock, and moon phase and day of the week at 3 o’clock.
And then there’s the movement. The calibre 985 was a technical feat when it was developed over a decade ago. In addition to featuring a complicated perpetual calendar and moon phase display, it also has a tourbillon with a cylindrical hairspring, which the company has the unique ability to shape in-house. JLC discovered that cylindrical hairsprings expand and contract concentrically, resulting in greater precision than traditional flat hairsprings. Lastly, as an automatic movement, it has a beautiful 22k rose gold rotor visible through the case back with a depiction of Antoine LeCoultre.

2025 Jaeger-LeCoultre 18k Pink Gold Master Ultra Thin Tourbillon Enamel
JLC has added a new model to its Master Ultra-thin portfolio: an 18k rose gold Tourbillon with an exclusive anthracite grey Grand Feu enamel dial, limited to just 50 watches. The brilliant sunray guilloché texture is comprised of 180 sunrays, each applied by hand by a master Jaeger-LeCoultre guillocheur and topped with five layers of Grand Feu enamel. The result is a truly dynamic dial, outshined only by the complex tourbillon at 6 o’clock, which weighs less than half a gram. There’s also a date at 12 o’clock, decorated with a hand-guilloché circular “azurage” pattern and rose gold hour markers and hands that match the rest of the case.
Through the exhibition case back, we can see the beautifully decorated caliber 978 and its skeleton JC rotor. The next-generation movement, updated in 2019 to incorporate new watchmaking technologies, features a tourbillon with a titanium cage, which contributes to its featherlight weight, and a “two-level” hairspring for better accuracy. The automatic movement is 7.1mm thick and features a 45-hour power reserve. JLC has paired this newest offering with an interchangeable leather strap featuring a pink gold double-folding buckle.

2025 Jaeger-LeCoultre 18k Pink Gold Reverso Tribute Nonantieme Enamel
JLC released the swiveling Reverso watch in 1931, featuring a case that can be flipped around and locked into place. This design was initially developed to protect the watch face during polo matches and has evolved greatly over the past several decades to include 50+ calibers with many different complications, sparkling gemstones, and even striking enamel finishes. 2021 marked the collection’s 90th anniversary, which the brand celebrated with a Reverso Tribute Nonantieme “Enamel.” For context, “nonantieme” means “ninetieth” in English. For 2025, JLC is adding a new 18k pink gold model with a grey dial and an intricate enamel starry sky design on the reverse side. The watch will be a limited edition of just 90 pieces.
The dial side of the case is classic enough, featuring a striking grey sunray-brushed finish with pink gold dauphine hands and matching hour markers. A “Grande Date” complication sits just below 12 o’clock, while a small seconds sub-dial sits at 6 o’clock, decorated with a sweeping moon phase. The reserve side is an entirely different story. Flipping the watch over reveals a captivating depiction of the night sky punctuated by three round displays: a smaller semi-jumping digital hour display, a larger partially concealed display for minutes on a rotating disc, and a day/night indicator with polished depictions of the sun and moon. The rest of the reverse side is decorated with layers of blue enamel, topped with stars and engraved latitude and longitude lines.
Jaeger-LeCoultre developed the caliber 826 specifically for the Reverso Tribute Nonantieme Enamel, equipping the movement with a new mechanism for the “Grande Date” that features two small discs next to each other instead of two stacked discs. One side houses the date numerals from 1-9, while the other houses the 10s, 20s, and 30s. This unique design allows the date feature to better fit within the Reverso case.

Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Enamel Shahnameh
Also new to the Enamel series is a set of four exquisitely hand-decorated watches using different methods of design: enamel miniature painting, grand feu, enameling, paillonnage, and guillochage. Each decorated case back took 100 hours to create, resulting in a limited production run of just 10 pieces for each of the four designs. The decorations pay homage to the collection’s sport of origin, polo, by depicting impossibly small reproductions of illustrations from the Persian epic poem Shahnameh. Each model features a different painting: Siyavush Plays Polo before Afrasiyab, Faridun Tests His Sons, Saam Comes to Mount Alburz, and Rustam Pursues Akvan.
Decorating the reverse side of the Reverso is nothing new. The practice dates back decades to when Indian soldiers would request reproductions of Indian miniature paintings for their watches. The art form has evolved immensely over the years to embrace many different cultures.
Today, the Enamel Shahnameh celebrates the sport’s Persian roots, replicating original artworks by hand from the Persian epic to fit a surface measuring just 2 cm² and without sacrificing the original work’s vibrant hues and dreamlike aesthetics. The paintings are then decorated with paillonnage made of tiny pieces of gold leaf and enameled. The front of the dial is decorated with a hand-guilloché design using a 100-year-old lathe and then applied with grand feu enamel.

Our Complete Coverage of Watches & Wonders Geneva 2025:
Reverso Tribute Duoface Small Seconds
Two new versions of the Duoface Small Seconds Reverso join the brand’s lineup for 2025, featuring dial colors that pay homage to the inaugural model from the 1930s. One features a pure black sunray front dial modeled after the original Reverso, and the other features a striking blue front dial comprised of 24 layers of hand-applied colorful and clear lacquer. Each is paired with a silver sunray reverse dial for an additional time zone, hence the name “Duoface.” The front dial displays small seconds at 6 o’clock, while the reserve dial has a 24-hour sub-dial and day/night indicators. The innovative caliber 854 powering each watch allows the wearer to adjust the minutes on both dials and the hours on the front dial via the crown. The hours for the second time zone on the reverse dial can be adjusted via a slider in the top case band, which is only visible when the case is flipped open.
Like the original 1930s models, these new ones are stainless steel. Black mirrors the original Reverso, while blue represents how the collection embraced different color options early on. The dial also features vintage-style index hour markers instead of numerals and elegant, dauphine hands. Each model is furnished with two interchangeable straps: one in calf leather and the other in canvas and calfskin.

Reverso Tribute Monoface Small Seconds
The newest expression of the Reverso Tribute Monoface Small Seconds in 18k pink gold features a sleek Milanese bracelet and a grained dial painstakingly developed to match the pink gold finish. The result is a sleek, dynamic play on textures that embraces modern and vintage-chic JLC design codes. The Milanese-style bracelet is essentially two layers of dense woven metal made using at least 16 meters of gold thread. JLC redesigned the lugs on this model to create smoother integration from the bracelet to the svelte 7.56 mm-thick case. Furthermore, the bracelet is closed by an integrated and adjustable sliding clasp.
The grained texture on the front dial is achieved by various stamping methods for a welcome contrast to the high-polished case and bracelet links. Applied index hour markers and dauphine hands deliver the classic Reverso aesthetic. Flipping the dial over, the wearer can completely change the watch’s look by revealing a plain, pink gold case back. This model is powered by JLC’s caliber 822 manual-winding movement with small seconds and a 42-hour power reserve.

Limited Edition Reverso Tribute Minute Repeater
A new movement debuted alongside the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Minute Repeater: the caliber 953, a fully integrated movement with a minute repeater. It is the latest in a long line of innovative chiming mechanisms for the brand, which started making minute repeaters in 1870 and finally developed the mechanism for a rectangular wristwatch for the first time in 1994. Since the turn of the new Millennium, the brand has refined the technology, dreaming up inventions such as crystal gongs attached to the sapphire crystal in 2005 and, later, the Grande Sonnerie that pairs the minute repeater with a function that automatically chimes the hours and quarters. Caliber 953 is an in-house movement with trébuchet hammers for improved chime quality, the previously mentioned crystal gongs, and a silent interval elimination.
Both dials display the same time but have two very different executions. The front dial features a hand-guilloché barley-seed texture and teal blue grand feu enamel, while the back dial has an open-worked design to give the wearer a nearly unobstructed view of the new engine driving the watch. The watch is cased in warm pink gold to contrast with the cool tones of the movement and features a sophisticated black leather strap with a pink gold clasp and a micro-adjustment feature.

Reverso Tribute Geographic
Yet another new movement is joining the Reverso Tribute collection this year, the caliber 834, which combines the Grande Date mechanism mentioned previously in this article with a sophisticated Worldtime. The new release includes two different models, one in steel with blue design elements and the other in pink gold with chocolate brown accents. The pink gold model appears to be a limited edition of 150 watches. The front dial keeps it simple in a blue or brown sunray finish, featuring small seconds at 6 o’clock and double Grande Date displays. On the reserve is a polished case back with a fascinating Worldtime display that layers a center world map surrounded by global city names over a 24-hour rotating ring with day/night indications. The map is laser-engraved, leaving recessed areas for the oceans, which are then carefully filled with lacquer by hand using a syringe.
The new caliber 834 is a fully integrated movement. It works differently than other Worldtime watches by keeping the reference cities static on the case and featuring a rotating 24-hour scale instead of the other way around. Furthermore, a hidden pusher advances the 24-hour ring in “jumps” for more accurate time-setting. The movement also accommodates the Grande Date function mentioned earlier from the Tribute Nonantieme, which features two side-to-side wheels for ones and tens to better fit the rectangular case shape.

Jaeger LeCoultre Reverso Hybris Artistica Calibre 179
JLC released the Reverso Hybris Artistica Calibre 179 in 2023 in rose gold. The watch, featuring a fascinating multi-axis tourbillon, or Gyrotourbillon, and intricate design details, more than lives up to its name, “Artistica Calibre.” This year’s release is a white gold version of that watch, limited to 10 pieces. The Calibre 179 couples the Gyrotourbillon with a Duoface movement, which means it has a different time zone on each dial and an AM/PM indicator.
The Gyrotourbillon, located on the bottom half of the dial, is a mechanism that rotates the escapement on two axes to counteract the effects of gravity and improve the watch’s precision. It is made of 123 components, including an inner titanium cage that rotates 360 degrees every 16 seconds and a peripheral cage mounted on ball bearings that rotates once per minute. These twin axes turn perpendicularly to each other and are held in place by a ring of ball bearings, creating the illusion that the flying Gyrotourbillon is floating between the dials.
The watch is decorated with intricate hand-beveling and lacquer work to match the level of craftsmanship of the Gyrotourbillon. The caliber plate on the front dial has been hollowed out and filled with deep blue lacquer, leaving behind a lattice of white gold “ribs.” Alternatively, the back dial embraces a slightly different, more open aesthetic, featuring blue lacquer on the minute ring and its supporting bridges. It also showcases hours of painstaking chamfering work.
In total, the Reverso Hybris Artistica Calibre 179 measures just 13.63mm tall, an impressive feat. It features a leather strap to match the blue lacquer and an adjustable folding buckle with .5mm micro-adjustments.
