2025 Louis Vuitton Watch Releases
Some watch enthusiasts might dismiss Louis Vuitton as just a “fashion watch” brand, but that take is seriously outdated. Over the past few years, Louis Vuitton has been making a strong case for its horological credibility, pushing boundaries with in-house movements, high-complication pieces, and bold design choices. The 2025 Louis Vuitton watch releases only reinforce that momentum, including the most complicated timepiece ever made by the brand. Let’s take a closer look at the 2025 Louis Vuitton watch releases, complete with pricing, specs, and plenty of pictures.

Escale en Amazonie Pocket Watch
Release Date: May 2025
The most complicated watch ever made by Louis Vuitton isn’t a wristwatch; it’s the Escale en Amazonie pocket watch. This unique piece marks the debut of the new “Escales autour du Monde” (French for stopovers around the world) collection and showcases the full force of La Fabrique du Temps’ watchmaking and artistic capabilities.
Inside the 50mm white gold case is a mechanical spectacle powered by the manual-winding Caliber LFT AU14.03, a movement composed of 555 parts, including a tourbillon, a minute repeater with cathedral gongs, and a Jacquemart automaton module with seven animations. The caseback displays the time via traditional hands, while the front dial acts as a miniature stage, animating 15 individual elements that include a monkey, parrots, a canoe of LV trunks, a swinging snake, and a spinning compass rose.
Each engraving and enamel flourish highlights the Maison’s métiers d’art ambitions. The dial features paillonné and miniature enamel in 31 different shades, with over 30 kiln firings required to complete the layered colors and lifelike textures. Even the domed sapphire crystal is enamel-decorated — a first for Louis Vuitton. From the parrot’s fluttering feathers to the rippling water beneath the canoe, every detail was crafted for movement, depth, and narrative charm.
Naturally, the case is just as elaborate. The side is engraved with motifs evoking the Amazon, while the white gold bezel is set with 60 baguette-cut gemstones (emeralds, tsavorites, tourmalines, and yellow sapphires) arranged in a color gradient. The watch comes paired with a matching green leather trunk and a vintage-inspired doctor’s-style bag — both designed to house and display the piece.
The Escale en Amazonie pocket watch required over 1,000 hours of work and 2.5 years of development. With an eight-day power reserve and a rumored price tag of €3 million, this one-off creation is the most ambitious horological work Louis Vuitton has ever produced. According to reports, it was sold during client previews to a female collector who plans to commission a custom necklace to wear the pocket watch around her neck.
Tambour Taiko Galactique
Release Date: May 2025
After venturing through various regions on Earth with previous automaton watches, Louis Vuitton sets its sights beyond our plenty with the 2025 Tambour Taiko Galactique. This interstellar minute repeater is packed with a complex automata mechanism, an elaborate enamel dial, and a full cosmic narrative that unfolds right on the wrist.
The watch is housed in a 46.7mm titanium and white gold case, with hollowed-out lugs and a 12 o’clock crown that give the profile a distinctly futuristic edge. On the left side of the case is the slide piece that activates the minute repeater, set with six baguette-cut sapphires and two topazes in a gradient blue tone.
Pushing the slide triggers a symphony of motion and sound. A cathedral gong minute repeater chimes the hours, quarters, and minutes while seven dial-side animations come to life. An astronaut floats weightlessly across a moonlit landscape, waving a saffron-colored LV flag. A nearby satellite spins, shooting stars drift across the dial, and the sun begins to rotate. The Earth is rendered in vivid miniature enamel with seven different colors and layers of cloud detail, while the moon’s surface is sculpted with grisaille enamel to create a soft chiaroscuro effect.
The dial is a masterclass in artisanal techniques: paillonné and cloisonné enamel, hand-engraving, and sculpting all come together to bring this cosmic scene to life. Even the red Monogram flowers on the astronaut’s suit are painted by hand in miniature. The movement, Caliber LFT AU14.02, is a manual-winding minute repeater with 459 components and 100 hours of power reserve — developed and assembled entirely in-house by La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton.
The Tambour Taiko Galactique is rumored to be priced at around €1 million, making it one of the most technically ambitious and expensive Louis Vuitton watches to date.

Tambour Bushido Automata
Release Date: May 2025
Louis Vuitton continues its high-complication automata series with the 2025 Tambour Bushido Automata, a watch that dives deep into Japanese samurai culture through a stunning display of engraving, enameling, and kinetic animation. Following the Tambour Carpe Diem and Tambour Opera, this third chapter takes inspiration from the Bushido code, where honor, strength, and discipline were not only values but a way of life.
The 46.8mm pink gold case is fully engraved and enameled, depicting a Samurai’s journey across Japan. At the center of the watch is a hand-engraved and enamel-painted Samurai mask, which comes to life with a press of the ruby-set pusher. In a 16-second automaton sequence, the mask animates with five distinct motions: a yokai creature rises to reveal the jumping hour on the forehead, a katana-shaped retrograde hand swings out to mark the minutes, one eye changes shape, the mouth opens to reveal “Bushido” in red Japanese characters, and then clamps shut — all against a backdrop of Mount Fuji and a red sun indicating the power reserve.
The dial combines multiple enamel techniques — paillonné, cloisonné, and miniature painting — while the case alone requires over 200 hours of engraving and enameling.
Inside the case is the manual-winding LV 525 caliber, composed of 426 components and equipped with a 100-hour power reserve. Originally developed for the Tambour Carpe Diem, this movement is finished to the highest standards and features two patents. The Tambour Bushido Automata is paired with a red calfskin strap and an 18k pink gold double folding clasp. Priced at $755,000, this is one of the most complex and visually elaborate wristwatches Louis Vuitton has ever produced.

Louis Vuitton x Kari Voutilainen LVKV-02 GMR 6
Release Date: March 2025
The second chapter in Louis Vuitton’s ultra-limited collaboration series with top independent watchmakers is here, and it’s Kari Voutilainen’s turn. Dubbed the LVKV-02 GMR 6, this is a GMT watch that benefits from Voutilainen’s mechanical expertise and Louis Vuitton’s flair for craftsmanship.
The case measures 40.5mm wide and 12.54mm thick, built primarily in tantalum with a platinum bezel, caseback, lugs, and crown. The lug finishing (done via cabronnage or sandpaper sticks) alone takes an hour per lug, and the caseback engraving — “Louis cruises with Kari” — takes 12 hours. That’s all before we even get to the solid gold dial (a Voutilainen signature), which includes miniature enamel painting, hand guilloché, and Louis Vuitton’s signature color motifs. The enamel painting on the hour ring alone uses 28 colors and takes 32 hours of work, while the central dial guilloché (which echoes Louis Vuitton’s famous Damier pattern) took four full days to produce. All of this to say that is that each Louis Vuitton x Kari Voutilainen LVKV-02 GMR 6 timepiece took a tremendous amount of time to complete.
The GMT disc rotates in 24 hours and is designed to be set to ’home’ time, allowing the central hour hand to be easily adjusted to local time in the country being visited with a simple press of the crown
For the engine of this crown pusher-activated GMT watch, we have the Voutilainen GMR manual-winding movement, based on Caliber 28. Local time is displayed via central hands, while home time is shown on a 24-hour disc at 6 o’clock, complete with an enamel-decorated day/night indicator. That GMT disc is designed to be set to home time, while the central local hour hand can be adjusted via the pusher integrated into the crown during travels. There’s also a retrograde power reserve at 12 o’clock. This being Voutilainen, the movement is of course exquisitely decorated and finished, complete with a mainspring barrel decorated in the same multi-colored miniature painting as the dial-side.
Only five examples of the Louis Vuitton x Kari Voutilainen LVKV-02 GMR 6 exist, and each will retail for €550,000.

Tambour Ceramic
Release Date: February 2025
The Louis Vuitton Tambour collection continues its evolution with the introduction of the Tambour Ceramic, a refined take on the brand’s integrated bracelet luxury sports watch. While the drum-shaped silhouette remains true to its 2023 redesign, this new model brings a fresh combination of materials to the table: brown ceramic paired with 18k rose gold.
Louis Vuitton is no stranger to working with ceramic, but achieving the right shade of brown — a color deeply tied to the brand’s heritage — is no easy feat. Unlike black or white, brown ceramic requires a complex fabrication process, involving precise control of pigments and high-temperature firing. The result is a case and bracelet that radiate warmth, enhanced by contrasting polished, brushed, and micro-blasted finishes. The 40mm case remains a slim 8.3mm thick, maintaining the ergonomic comfort that defines the modern Tambour lineup. Adding to the premium feel, the case structure incorporates an internal gold core, visible through the open caseback.
The brown lacquered dial continues the monochrome aesthetic, featuring a combination of brushed, sandblasted, and snailed textures for a sense of depth. The applied numerals, hands, and markers are crafted from 18k rose gold, all coated in luminescent material for legibility. Powering the watch is the self-winding LFT023 movement, developed by La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton in collaboration with Le Cercle des Horlogers. Certified as a chronometer, the movement operates at 4 Hz and features a 22k rose gold micro-rotor, delivering a 50-hour power reserve.
Completing the timepiece is the ceramic and rose gold bracelet, engineered for seamless integration into the case. Each ceramic link is meticulously finished and connected by a hidden rose gold framework, ensuring flexibility and durability. With its fusion of cutting-edge materials and sophisticated execution, the Louis Vuitton Tambour Ceramic underscores the Maison’s continued pursuit of high watchmaking excellence.

Tambour High End
Release Date: February 2025
Louis Vuitton expands its high-end Tambour lineup with two new limited-edition models, one in yellow gold with saffron-colored sapphires and the other in platinum with a gradient of sapphires and rubies. These pieces focus on gem setting and materials while keeping the streamlined, integrated bracelet case design introduced in 2023.
The first is the Tambour High End in yellow gold and saffron sapphires with an onyx dial, marking Louis Vuitton’s first use of hard stone in the Tambour collection. The dial is made from Brazilian onyx, polished to a deep black, with baguette-cut saffron sapphire hour markers. Given the delicate nature of onyx, shaping and assembling the dial requires precision — any imperfections mean starting over. The 40mm case is crafted from 18K yellow gold and set with 48 baguette-cut saffron sapphires totaling approximately 2.22 carats. This model is limited to 30 pieces, each numbered on the caseback, and is fitted with an integrated yellow gold bracelet.
The second of these gems-set 2025 Louis Vuitton watch releases is a platinum version with a rainbow bezel. The bezel on top of the 40mm platinum case is set with 48 baguette-cut sapphires and rubies, arranged in a gradient transitioning through green, blue, violet, pink fuchsia, orange, and yellow. Achieving the perfect color shift requires careful stone selection, particularly for shades like purple and green. The silvered opaline dial is also home to color-matched sapphire and ruby hour markers. While pretty, I’m not sure if the market needs more rainbow watches. Finishing off the watch is the platinum integrated bracelet, equipped with an 18k white gold folding clasp.
Powering the duo of sparkly Louis Vuitton Tambour watches is the same Caliber LFT 023.01 inside the other current-production time-only Tambour pieces.

Tambour Convergence
Release Date: January 2025
The Louis Vuitton Tambour Convergence adds a new chapter to the ever-expanding Tambour collection. This time, Louis Vuitton takes inspiration from vintage montres à guichet (jump hour watches) — but it’s not a jump hour watch. The Tambour Convergence introduces a dragging hours and minutes display across two rotating discs, enclosed in a streamlined 37mm case. As expected, everything from the movement to the case to the fine details has been handled in-house. In fact, “Convergence” is a nod to the unification of the Louis Vuitton ateliers in Geneva — La Fabrique du Temps (movement design), La Fabrique des Boîtiers (case-making), and La Fabrique des Arts (rare handcrafts).
Living up to its name, the case retains its signature drum shape and cambered sides but it has been redesigned with newly shaped lugs and a slim 8mm profile. The compact 37mm Tambour Convergence is offered in either 18k pink gold or platinum with 795 snow-set diamonds. The time is displayed through a dragging hours and minutes system, where the hour numerals slowly rotate clockwise in the upper aperture while the minutes glide across the lower section. A lozenge-shaped marker serves as the time indicator, keeping the display as minimalistic as possible. The guichet that frames the time indication mimics the decorative arabesques found in the interior architecture of the Louis Vuitton family home in Asnières.
Inside is the Caliber LFT MA01.01, a newly developed automatic movement from La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton with a 45-hour power reserve, operating at 4 Hz (28,800 vph). Via the open caseback, we can see the sandblasted bridges with micro-sandblasted edges, the V-notched and polished periphery of the rose-gold rotor, and the transparent movement sapphires, which replace the
conventional synthetic fuchsia rubies.
The straps of these 2025 Louis Vuitton watches are calf leather, finished in camel for the pink gold model and deep blue for the diamond-set platinum version — each furnished with a pin buckle in the metal that matches the case. The Tambour Convergence in pink gold is priced at $35,000 whereas the platinum version is priced at $60,500.

Tambour Taiko Spin Time
Release Date: January 2025
Louis Vuitton is continuing to push its haute horlogerie ambitions with the new Tambour Taiko Spin Time collection. Spin Time, a complication developed by La Fabrique du Temps founders Michel Navas and Enrico Barbasini for LV, has been a hallmark of Louis Vuitton watchmaking since its debut in 2009. Inspired by the flap displays of airports and train stations, Spin Time swaps traditional jumping hours for rotating cubes — a playful yet mechanically sophisticated approach to telling time. (Side note, LVMH acquired La Fabrique du Temps in 2011.)
The 2025 Tambour Taiko Spin Time collection brings together the updated Tambour design and the unique Spin Time time-telling display, available across six references and two calibers.
Named after the taiko, a traditional Japanese drum, the case architecture maintains the characteristic drum-like shape but with a slimmer profile; the revamped silhouette was achieved through a carefully engineered case middle that integrates seamlessly into the domed caseback and mirror-polished hollowed lugs.
The six limited-edition models in the collection are all crafted in 18k white gold and share a cohesive design language. The dials feature a dolphin grey hue, accented with varying finishes to enhance depth and texture. The rotating cubes follow the same muted color scheme, except for the current hour indicator, which contrasts in a lighter shade of grey. The 42.5mm models feature display casebacks, revealing the LFT ST13.01 automatic movement, complete with an 18k pink gold oscillating weight.
One of the standout variations is the Tambour Taiko Spin Time Air, which takes the floating cube aesthetic even further by adding a central flying tourbillon. Meanwhile, the Tambour Taiko Spin Time Air Antipode combines the jumping hour mechanism with a newly developed worldtime complication, displaying all 24 time zones simultaneously with a clever color-coded day-night indicator.
