Why Would Rolex Discontinue the Pepsi?

Well, there have been credible rumors of Rolex Pepsi bezel production issues for years, and the gist of it is that making a true two-color piece of ceramic (not counting white or black as colors) is extremely difficult. The rejection rate of Pepsi bezel inserts is supposedly very high. So even though it’s one of the most popular Rolex watches, it might have been a big headache for them.

Plus, Rolex still has a few remaining bezel colorways of the GMT-Master II in their catalog, all half-black. And all with waiting lists.
