What is the 2025 Rolex Giraffe Daytona?
Rolex releases a handful of gem-set, ultra-expensive “off-catalog” watches each year, and there are a few interesting rare Daytona options that appeared in 2025. Here’s what we know about Rolex’s 2025 “Giraffe Daytona,” the first model to ever come with a brown Oysterflex bracelet.

Pics of four 2025 off-catalog Daytonas in particular have been circulating online (Music City Timepieces has posted them, among others): a sapphire-bezel model with an exotic dial, a rose gold Le Mans model to replace the yellow gold Rolex Le Mans Daytona, one with a turquoise stone dial, and the Giraffe Daytona. Sometimes collectors argue about silly Rolex nicknames for new models, but I don’t think there needs to be much discussion here–this is the Giraffe Daytona. The strings of diamonds on the watch’s brown dial mimic the pattern of a giraffe’s fur. The Giraffe Daytona appears to be the spiritual successor to the Eye of the Tiger Daytona that first appeared in 2019.
What’s New
Aside from the intriguing giraffe-fur-pattern diamond dial, the biggest new thing here is the brown Oysterflex strap. Not only is it Rolex’s first brown Oysterflex strap; it’s Rolex’s first non-black Oysterflex strap period. Perhaps this will open the door to some brighter Oysterflex colors in the future.
Also, the center endlinks of the Rolex Giraffe Daytona have diamonds. This further differentiates it from the on-catalog 126535 TBR model, which was one of Rolex’s 2024 releases.
Price of the Rolex Giraffe Daytona
We don’t know the official MSRP of the Giraffe Daytona yet, but it’s probably in the ballpark of $150,000, given the $127,600 list price of the 126535 TBR. Secondhand, its true market value will probably be around $200,000-$220,000.
What’s the Model Number of the Rolex Giraffe Daytona?
I’ll let you know when I know for sure, but my guess at a model number for the Rolex Giraffe Daytona is 126555TBR. Given that it’s a rose gold Rolex Daytona with a trapezoidal diamond bezel, we can be reasonably confident about the 1265_5TBR part. Every number except 5 has already been used as the second-to-last digit, which denotes different diamond/bracelet configurations:
Second-to-Last Daytona Number Meanings
0 = Metal bracelet, no diamonds
1 = Oysterflex bracelet (or leather on previous generations), no diamonds
2 = Le Mans Daytona (or metal bracelet on previous generations), no diamonds
3 = Diamond bezel + lugs, Oysterflex bracelet
4 = Diamond bezel + baguette lugs, baguette bracelet (as on the off-catalog 126548 TBR from 2023)
5 = Unused (Perhaps Rolex Giraffe Daytona?)
6 = Baguette bezel, metal bracelet
7 = Diamond bezel, metal bracelet
8 = Diamond bezel, Oysterflex bracelet
9 = Diamond bezel + lugs, metal bracelet (or diamond bezel + endlinks on leather on previous generations)
The Giraffe Daytona will surely be a very rare Rolex release. There are over 1,000 authorized Rolex dealers worldwide and I expect many won’t even get a single one. If you’re interested in this, or any of the other 2025 Rolex releases, I’d recommend getting on your local dealer’s Rolex waitlist as soon as possible.
